I am noticing the same. where are the real protests? Where is the real meat?I don't think abortion is going to be as animating as everything costing twice as much as it did a year ago. You literally won't be able to afford thinking about getting pregnant in the coming months, much less abortion. I honestly think if there was going to be a summer of love part 2 from the Roe stuff, we would have seen more than some screeching protests and a molotov cocktail thrown in a Madison, Wisconsin office. Maybe this sets off some spurts of small-scale terrorism against minor targets in commie land, but that doesn't really help the left. Especially when, again, people are actually worried how they'll afford chicken, milk, and eggs.
I am getting sick and tired of this line.
Categorically, the Supreme court doesn't address cases if they don't get brought up to them. And the plaintiffs of this particular case didn't offer a chance for a ruling that didn't strike down Roe or uphold it in full.
Isn't it almost impossible to make smokeless powder by yourself? If you really wanna make banging money in the New Economy(TM), do what one of my daughters has been doing: Learning to hand make ammo and do reloading.
Ye Olde Smokey Powder isn't as efficient in either ballistics or maintenance but its dead simple and Good EnoughIsn't it almost impossible to make smokeless powder by yourself?
Ye Olden Powder will still kill a deer dead.Isn't it almost impossible to make smokeless powder by yourself?
My optimistic explanation is that people are tired from riots and distracted by kitchen table issues. My pessimistic explanation is that it doesn't seem "real" to people since nothing authoritative has actually happened, given it was a leak and not the actual decision. It's probably somewhere in the middle—dems and their proxies blowing their load too early before anything substantive has happened and people thinking about greater issues.I am noticing the same. where are the real protests? I'd propose that it is something chatted about a while ago. Rittenhouse. His killing of two foot soldiers and maiming of one of their commanders put some real fear in. The commanders still want to go and are likely out in force... but the foot soldiers who no longer feel immortal aren't coming out in enough force to... do anything. My optimistic explanation is that people are tired from riots and distracted by kitchen table issues. In every group of 10 protestors you have one violent anarchist that wants to destroy and you have 9 middle class tourists that want to "show they stand up for the right side of history".I am noticing the same. where are the real protests? Where is the real meat?
Think back to the original Days of Rage. 1972. Right after the recession of 69-70. The Antifa of the time had got it in their indoctrinated little commie brains that the US was ripe for a Marxist revolution and all they had to do is set off some bombs -- say, ~100 a month for a year or two -- to trigger the mass uprising that surely would have followed. After all, everyone agreed with them, right?I don't think abortion is going to be as animating as everything costing twice as much as it did a year ago. Not really. it's pretty much based on Lawrence v Texas, which is itself based on Roe, Griswold, and the other SDP cases. Kennedy literally spends 5 or 6 pages talking about the history of marriage in a desperate attempt to justify how gay marriage is some fundamental right alongside heterosexual marriage. As well, the court cases are utterly different. Roe wiled a right into being from thin air. Obergefell meanwhile has actually good grounding.
The key and best arguments for it lie within the equal protection clause. Which is not founded in Roe. Namely, the government has no overriding secular purpose to recognize straight marriage over gay marriage. Not really. it's pretty much based on Lawrence v Texas, which is itself based on Roe, Griswold, and the other SDP cases. To the left, deep down, Identity doesn't REALLY matter except as a shield to hide behind and a sword to strike your enemies with. They can leap between black/Jewish/Muslim/gay/trans/obese without changing their stride. Infamously Crowder(?) went to a women's march and called one of them fat and she had a complete meltdown, screaming RACIST at him. Because identities don't REALLY matter to them, just like insults all ultimately mean BAD PERSON, NOT OF TRIBE to them. To wit: None of them REALLY care about the Black Experience in America. They care that the Black Identity is a very useful chain to keep a large number of people on the plantation, as long as the left controls that identity.I am getting sick and tired of this line.
The right-wing has no interest any more in gay rights. Beyond it being on the periphery of the grooming shit their interest in the actual meat of gay rights is basically nil. It doesn't create an absolute barrier like abortion since unlike abortion it doesn't leave any lasting harm since its actions exist between consenting adults.

Fair, but while that may be enough to save it from Roes ignominious fate, it's still not enough to say its a reasoned decision. Plus, the SDP bits are like a solid 90% of the majority ruling. The key and best arguments for it lie within the equal protection clause. Which is not founded in Roe. All those checks don't matter if you control the vote counters. At least, theoretically. But that also requires the other branches of the state to stay silent when inevitable complaints are filed.View attachment 3266851

No fortifying 2022 this time, guys. Not only that, they got voter ID, despite that being an unholy sin in the eyes of the left.
Makes me wonder what bold new rigging they'll think up for 2024.
Can't wait for the DNC to have historically low turn out in 24.View attachment 3266851

"Kyle Rittenhouse, I don't use the word 'hero' very often. But you are the greatest hero in American history."I'd propose that it is something chatted about a while ago. Rittenhouse.
