What about marriage of form and function? That expression doesn't mean one is understood to be male and the other female; it's just an expression. Civil unions was the compromise term, but marriage was what was in mind. The movement was called gay marriage and marriage equality.
When you bar homosexual marriage you're denying us the opportunity to form lasting monogamous relationships, in sight of witnesses, and accountable for infedility. To refuse it totally is to say society will not accept homosexual unions on any terms, and will only accept homosexuals as celibate and alone. It also means soceity won't let us prove ourselves. The economy is brutal, and you can't afford to live by yourself. I would be happy with just enough to live on, that is to say even if society considered homosexuality a form of disability, allowing two people so afflicted to marry would mean they can have sex within the stable confines of monogamy. Gay marriage was called a mockery of marriage, and the usual retort was divorce is a mockery of marriage. Hollywood is a mockery of marriage. Letting retards get married is a mockery of marriage. Anyone who's a shit spouse is a mockery of marriage.

I had friends in 2020 that chanted "defund the police" for six straight months and they DID NOT BLINK when Biden said that Trump wanted to defund the police.
I have luckily not spoken to these people in two years; mostly because they thought I "should know better." Nothing like white people I've known for 20+ years lecturing me on the correct way to be black.

Well, yes, insofar as they believe in leftism. But to answer your specific query, their problem is that in leftism the ever-lefter position is the only safe one, while any calls for moderation can be (and often are) seen as heresy to be stamped out. Thus, within the circles in which they travel, everyone is incentivized to be as insane and radical as possible. It's a perpetual feedback loop that continues until either crushed with force or imploding upon the shores of reality.

I could easily argue that Planned Parenthood has genocided half of my race in the last 15 years.
There are 40 million Black Americans. Planned Parenthood claims that they perform 3 million abortions just on blacks every year, which I think is a fake number because that basically means that 20% of adult black women of birthing age are having abortions every year, but lets go with it. Shes literally praising and advocating for people to commit a crime. Its a federal crime to protest a federal judge’s residence. Peaceful or not, there is no legitimate or lawful reason to be there.
Protests are supposed to be about swaying the opinions of the public and elected politicians, not trying to intimidate or convince judges to change their legal opinions, something that is not supposed to be subject to public consensus.
