I don't know. I don't want to be accused of being soft on Tony (I am tough on Tony and tough on the causes of Tony, as another Tony said did not say), but timing with him seems to be off.

Usually with AGPs they lock their wife or girlfriend in, either by pregnancy or marriage, and then go "Surprise! I like to wear your panties, call myself daddy's cum dumpster and whack off!". With Tony, as far as we can tell, it was after their separation that he "discovered he was trans". He even posted on r/malefashionadvice (source, archive) after they separated trying to sort himself out. And I can see that - two failed marriages, with his kid growing up with divorced parents like Tony did (source, archive) - being a real blow and he latched on to "actually I'm really a woman and my struggles have been because I've been repressed my whole life".

I can well believe that their relationship just crumbled naturally. Tony proposed the day after Thanksgiving 2014 (November 28; source, archive), and had knocked her up about 2 weeks before that (source, archive), but they had only been together since summer 2013 (source, archive). Kiddo is born on August 24 2015 (source, archive), they endure a gruelling 16 months of shit, puke and no sleep before moving to DC in December 2016, the first time Tony has lived outside the South. Then they get the terrible twos while his wife struggles with her new job, far from either of their families, and 18 months after moving to DC she steps out and the marriage comes to an end.

All that said, it could well be, as @MissAnthropist said on the previous page, that Tony had mentally signed up for being Ms Heckin' Valid and checked out of their relationship before the trigger was finally pulled in summer 2018. It doesn't absolve Tony of any shitty behaviour, but really I don't think this is classic AGP "You had my child now I can be the sexy lady of my dreams and you have no choice!"

He's got posts on Twitter showing emails saying "I did $5,500 of work for you in January, your retainer is $1,000, pay up," and saying that he doesn't have the money to top up the retainer, which could all be part of the grift.

Again, devil's advocate, it could just be unfortunate circumstances that fucked his wife over. She'd apparently moved to Roanoake, Virginia, which is a few hours away (and her family isn't from there, it's not clear why she went there?). I get the impression that Tony has always worked from home, whereas her job (theatre) I imagine involves lots of nights and weekends. Could be as simple as "Tony is the primary caregiver because he's always at home, and staying with Tony keeps kiddo near his friends and current schools".

I can believe him being checked out during the relationship as you mentioned. Remember, Erin is a huge reddit loser. DC isn't a state. It's fair to list in a lot of state-by-state listings because it is mostly its own jurisdiction, but not entirely, and Tony should clarify that.
