You know, a lot of trans people/AGPs/whatever are really into forced feminisation/castration stories. And a common subject of those are really young boys. Are we sure they aren’t just tricking the medical establishment and public into turning kids into spank fodder? I don't think it's cartoons. I think it's lack of proper socialization with other kids, leading vulnerable kids to only learn about life through cartoons and porn. Which is, in fact, an anime fiction because all women on and off have very difficult relationships with womanhood and it's socially dehumanizing effects, and the way it can make you hate yourself.
Conversations about challenging current concepts of masculinity are doomed when it's boiled down to one dimensional everything either being Toxic Masculinity or It's Fine To Be Queeeeer on the other. People are complex, not just Good or Bad.
I can see why if there's an option to opt out, get VIP treatment as 'the most oppressed!' and yet face zero consequences/repercussions like they would for existing as a marginalized etc person (eg women are harassed walking down the street and spend a lot of time being ambiently afraid or stressed, if you're poor you are fearful and stressed by insecure housing etc) nor 'restorative pushback'/SJW check your privilege talk that non marginalized groups do?
It's an escape hatch, and you are now top dog.

I think this is one of the few times I’ve seen any family member seem to genuinely care about Jazz and his feelings. I really wanted his dad to get up and hug him.
I can’t imagine ever just sitting there seeing my child trying not to cry telling me how shit they feel about themselves and not having physical contact with them, whether a hug, an arm round them or just something.

The sad thing is, the weight probably helps Jazz pass. Not well, of course, he still looks like a ten year old head transplanted onto an elderly transsexual dude’s body, but I imagine that impression of stunted boyhood would be much more apparent if he was at pre-surgery weight. After a certain point, there is no gender, only fat.

Of course that’s what happens. When you’re depressed, you’re not getting enough seratonin or whatever and ssri’s help that happen. If you take medication that you don’t need it’s just going to fuck up your brain/body/behavior

It’s that weird kind of pseudo closeness where they’re constantly doing family activities and proclaiming their clannish togetherness, but with no real warmth. Part of that is probably being on a TV show, but I’ve seen confectured family closeness like that in meat space.

Greg is a genuinely loving person who genuinely cares for Jazz, however badly he failed him in the past. For a more glaring example of family coldness (not to be confused with closeness), see Jazz have his valedictorian speech day meltdown while the ENTIRE family, including grands (sans Greg, who was at work), just stared in stony and disapproving silence.

I had this stupid long post written up about men, great men, even, who relied heavily on their wives emotionally or professionally, for better and worse. Then I remembered those women tended to be whip smart or forces of personality. What the fuck is Greg’s excuse?
