We're CONCERNED that Russians might get their hands on cutting edge, uh, veterinary science... in Ukraine... that's funded by the United States Department of Defense's weapons of mass destruction research agency for, uh, reasons. :story:

What are you talking about? It's entirely believable that The Ukraine would be heavily invested in researching treatments for diseases of Swine.

Please forgive me if this joke has been made twelve times already.

Apologies, I've been away from the thread for some time, and have quite a bit of catching up to do. Apologies, as well, if this has already been posted/discussed.

I was shown the following video today, thanks to JewTube's algorithm. My initial impression is that these guys are presumably Seperatists, rather than Russian Regulars. Is there more to this story that I'm missing? Given that it comes from the Bolshevik Broadcasting Company, I'm inclined to believe there is spin. I would like to hope the RFAF aren't just shooting civvies.
It's like two days old news I think? It was discussed starting from here:

And most blatant bs:

Thank you, Slavic Anime Cat, you truly are my greatest ally. My initial suspicion was that it might be some sort of false flag, but then thought to myself "Am I letting my own biases cloud my judgement?", so I'd like to try and gain more knowledge on this event before coming to any sort of conclusion. That van has got to be the most fucking retarded thing I've seen all week, though.

As an aside: Why is this website so fucked at the moment? I know that Null is an utterly worthless coder, but this is getting a little ridiculous. Pages are randomly changing their zoom level EDIT: This appears to be because your links there are to "Kiwifarms.is", rather than ".net". I'm out of the loop as to what that is precisely., the reply box is suddenly extremely finicky for some reason (Any time I try to use Backspace it removes all paragraph breaks in my reply), and I was just redirected to page ~117 when I refreshed my page.

B-b-but I thought I was your greatest ally!

In the interest of those who are interested in the dealership execution incident, the Ministry of Defense of Russia took to telegram a couple of days ago to deboonk the claims that the Russians would ever, ever kill a civilian.

Now, while the Russian MoD raises some good points, like the outdated armor not currently in use by the Russian regulars, "tank special forces" (seriously, what?) and the date being cropped, faking something like this isn't easy so I'm reticent to believe them, personally. At most, I believe some context may have been removed.

PS: Someone mentioned the possibility of this being separatist troops, but no separatists were ever anywhere near Kiev.

I had the vague thought they might have been seperatists due to their uniforms seeming somewhat irregular, as with their equipment. Perhaps the uniforms being a little irregular is "normal" in the Vodkanigger army, but do they still issue AK-74S with wooden handguards? The fact they're so close to Kiev does dispute the idea they could be seperatists though, of course.

What seems strange about it is that this footage is allegedly from the beginning of the war, but has only just been released for some reason.

EDIT: Worth noting from that telegram analysis; I'm pretty sure the outhouse the corpse is in is a completely different one to the outhouse shown with an unplugged kettle. The layout isnt even the same. For all I know there is another guardhouse on the property though.

Wtf I hate the Tsar now!

(As far as I know it wasn't really much of a "backing" though, was it?)
Physically, no; diplomatically, yes. The Russians put their ships in American ports, so the Queen of the Seas could do nothing with them without unleashing world war a little ahead of time. This event, and the support of the victorious north in the civil war, was enough for the Americans to try to return the favor by trying to organize negotiations between communists and imperials during the Russian civil war.

Oh aye, true. I thought you were talking about backing in a more materiel sense. A lot of continental Wogs tacitly supported the Yanks.

Incidentally; I do wonder how different Russia might be today had the Whites actually won the war. I've also always wondered if it all might have been averted, or at least delayed, had Bloody Sunday not occurred.

And to spite Anglo, they backed the US in the war for independence.
In the 1860s Russia was mad at England and France over the Crimean War, plus St. Petersburg saw Russia and the US as natural allies with both being rising powers that the status quo in London and Paris wished to hold down. Russia told the US ambassador in St. Pete that it would be invited to join anti-Washington schemes by England and France but would decline because fuck those guys

Yes, the enemy of my enemy is my friend, eh?

St.Davis

And Rasputin and the Russian-Japanese war and losses in World War 1, and German money going to Ulyanov (Lenin). Honestly, only divine intervention could help Nicolai the Second hold power. The same goes for the commanders of the whites.

Mitch McConnell went to Kyiv. Even Mommy went to Ukraine. Where's Joey?

Looks like the Ukrainians have launched a counteroffensive to disrupt Russian supply lines.

The longer this war goes, the worse things get for Russia, in many areas. They've drawn NATO closer together, plus the likely addition of two new members. They've strengthened the relationship between the USA and Europe. They have shown the weakness and ineptitude of their conventional military. And thousands and thousands of sons of Russia are coming back to the Rodina injured, in a box, or not at all. And for what?

Ukraine failed an attempt to cross the Siversky Donets today, likely in the Kharkiv line, but I'm not sure since the Siversky Donets is a big river.

The Russian MoD claims that when they were found by an UAV, some IFVs had already managed to cross. The pontoon bridge was completely destroyed, and some of vehicles that had already crossed were also destroyed, while some others were captured. They were immediately put into service.
