You're welcome!

The sadness underpinning the Kiwi Farms is that its head bird wrangler, Joshua Moon, is effectively WALL-E, sifting through the unwanted detritus of the Internet, fixing forgotten things that nobody noticed were broken.

Andy Dick has reached a point in his career, from whence there is probably no return, where he is a performance artist: A man who is known mainly for his degeneracy, rather than said degeneracy being a symptom of his success, or lack there-of, in some meaningful artistic pursuit. He is a vocational pervert and drug fiend.

It is telling that, when he appeared on an episode of American Dad, he played himself; in the words of Roger the alien "another fey, pansexual, alcoholic, non-human," who leaves, strewn around the Smith household, a feather boa that has been inside someone, and a travel guide to Tokyo's finest defecation clubs. The episode ends with Dick, hopped up on Tic-Tacs that he has been told are drugs, overtaking an SUV doing 55mph, while on foot, before hanging a sharp left and robbing a roadside pharmacy.

A song like Secret Garden is the cast-aside work of a man who is well aware that he has fucked up, promising to do better in the future, while knowing that he probably won't. It can only gather poignancy the lower that its creator sinks, providing a fleeting backward glimpse of the humanity that he has stayed too far from, on the road to whatever unsavoury end awaits him.

It reminds me of a song by GG Allin called When I Die, where Allin matter-of-factly sums up his life as a friendless odyssey of squandered potential, cheap booze, jail, and empty sexual encounters.

Allin and Dick were/are two of a kind. Self aware to a point where they can see themselves fucking up, but not caring enough to do anything about it.
