I curious why Tim and Mark (both very successful independent comic creators) would hire the Roiloup brothers to write a comic for them. That claim seems sketch enough on its face to where I think Thomas should have to provide some measure of proof.
Not gonna lie: Earnst seems incredibly civil here.
Looks like Earnst just dropped some DMs on Twitter.

Fair enough. Thank you for the information.Given that Mark has to be aware of this quotation Roiloup is posting everywhere yet not only says is not saying anything but continues to go on his show, I consider that fairly substantive proof that Roiloup is telling the truth, at least as far as being a published guest-writer of Iconic Comics goes.
What is the casus belli for this particular shitshow? There's gotta be a backstory here.
Fellow novelist Jon Del Arroz reacted to FenCon’s statement saying, “It’s very nice to hear this. It is refreshing. I’ve never heard of anybody fighting back like this. This a new era. I really think that 2022 enough normal people are fed up with it and they’re not scared of the SJWs anymore.”
“They see that these guys can make a mob and throw a fit and cause maybe two, three weeks of disturbance online, but in reality the SJWs have no power,” he said.
He then addressed other convention organizers, “I gotta say to anybody who watches this who’s a convention organizer, a person who schedules guests for programming or anything like that, don’t worry. These people don’t have power. All they can do it amplify the signal of what’s going on and it makes it so normal people want to attend.”
He later noted, “[FenCon’s] going to get rewarded for having a guest like Larry, who writes books that are fun that people enjoy and the SJWs can buzz off. They don’t have any money anyway.”
Del Arroz concluded, “I’m happy about this. I love watching this. I hope that we start to turn the tide in culture even further.”
It's a claim that TUG and YF made yesterday on Twitter. Seemingly without providing a shred of evidence. See posts above.Ok I’m a little late to the party, what this about the Roiloop bros fucking each other?
I was going to say that nobody is that retarded and autistic to believe they were really in a homosexual (somehow it being gay makes it worse) twincest relationship but then I realised that actually this sphere of the internet would totally believe that and the Roloups are fucking weirdoes so it sort of makes you think for a bit.Sounds like a basic case of "oh they lied about me I'm gonna lie about them back" unless proof comes up otherwise. It's never a very good idea because it's not just a question of if lying about someone is good or bad, it's also lying to unrelated people who did nothing - people that placed their trust in you as a source of information. And most people don't like being deliberately lied to.
JDA vs the Phonies...

Looks like something interesting is brewing between Doug Earnst and JDA. @TheCosmicWarrior Maybe you want to get ahead of this.

When I first came here to The Farms it was in relation to a falling out between Ernst and JDA, as well as Pressed-In and JDA. In response to my question, I was illuminated to the general outlook of people here that JDA approaches cow-levels. Ernst is practically a saint. He generally avoids conflict and refrains from engaging in personal attacks. Not gonna lie: Earnst seems incredibly civil here.

The vendetta between Thomas Roiloup and TUG/Nick Rekeita/YellowFlash goes way back over a half a decade ago when the three of them were also nobodies with fledgling CG-related channels, grinding out analysis of indie comic publisher sales figures, reading legal transcripts of the Richard C. Meyer vs Marvel writer Mark Waid lawsuit, and livestreaming themselves violently punching and stabbing "SJW comics" respectively. The origins of the feud are blindingly autistic and requires revisiting and providing context of figures that left the scene years ago like Nerkish, Praetorian and Warcampaign and to be honest I can't be fucked; so I'll just leave it at that and say that it only looks weird now because now TUG and Rekeita have hundreds of thousands of unrelated subscribers and Thomas doesn't, but their continuing to despise and hate Roiloup after all this time is a reassuring reminder of their humble Comicsgate origins.I'm surprised they know the Roiloups since it seems like most people ignore them after trying to parse their schizotheories.

I don't really care what some faggot blue check journalist from shithole Reno has to say.
makes the bold move of taking solid art and fare which honestly looks it would be best suited towards young girls and mixing it with weird tiny-headed coommision pinups.
Leroi's guiding ethos of having "a show by, of and for the CG chat denizens (represented by Leroi of course)" in lieu of making his show, "CG Talk", an expressly "CG fan show" where 'the fans' can go to share deferences and appreciation of various CG creators.
He credits much of this to the nature of having someone else's voice in your head for hours and hours every day in the form a livestream, which he argues that the human mind is not designed for and engenders in the smaller aspiring crators a sense of familiarity on the receiving end of the parasocial relationship that in truth is not actually there.
Thanks for spoon feeding me. That explains a lot about how they come across as believing that they have this outsized, exaggerated amount of relevancy compared to reality. Kind of true to a degree. I'd love to see the stats behind how many SubscribeStar subs they have. Thomas really isn't wrong when he says in between thrusts in his brother that they do live rent free in peoples minds. Finally Joe Archery, a truly obscure Comicsgater who ran a campaign that made $2000 last year, made this very thunkprovoking video on the corruptive nature of e-celebrity in Comicsgate and the eternal tension between the haves and have-nots. He credits much of this to the nature of having someone else's voice in your head for hours and hours every day in the form a livestream, which he argues that the human mind is not designed for and engenders in the smaller aspiring crators a sense of familiarity on the receiving end of the parasocial relationship that in truth is not actually there.
It's funny listening to him because you can tell he's trying his best not to sound sour grapes about his level of success but he basically ends up parroting anti-CG talking points about how CG is just livestreamers grifting paypigs with parasocial relationships.
