Russia isn't getting much of anything though. The ruble had a rough few weeks and then recovered. The ultimate result of the US government's moralpolicing is to massively negatively impact the lives of its own citizens and funnel a bunch of money into the arms industry for a war that will either result in all those arms destroyed / in the "enemies" hands or spiral into a massive and completely avoidable european or even world conflict for absolutely no benefit to the people that the US government is SUPPOSED to be protecting the interests of.

I'm unconvinced that the state of the Rouble is necessarily an indicator of anything. Russia is, after all, an export economy. And they're manipulating the currency to a degree, anyway.

I'd argue we are probably suffering more, especially if you consider that a lot of things that pulled out of Russia are things that the russian people will be better off without.

Difficult to quantify such a thing, really. I don't know whether I, or Ivan, are suffering more due to the current state of things. The fact I'm feeling the burn at all, for no tangible benefit to myself, is cause enough for concern.
