It'd be tough for him at the moment, because he'd have to get in with the patristicfaith.com crowd to pull it off. One issue is that Jay Dyer is a big figure in that group, and he already has experience with both Ralph and Nick. The other problem is that, unlike with Roman Catholics, the Orthodox equivalent of "trads" have actual connections and support within the clergy and hierarchy.
