Worse, once in their lives, people like Zoe Quinn work at eroding their self-worth further. Quinn in particular is extremely emotionally abusive and controlling and once introduced into their lives, wraps her tentacles around as much of their personal dealings as she can, and they tolerate it because she's a remotely hot girl who fucks them.
They convince themselves it's true love, even though they know in their heart of hearts that it's a load of shit. She uses them - extracting as much influence, utility, and prestige as she can from them - and when their usefulness ends, she leaves them. This is why even though Lifschitz was rich enough that she'd never have to work a day in her life again, she left him all the same, because she essentially made him commit career suicide to support her shitty game by either violating an NDA or bad-mouthing his fucking employer.
Dyne explained this to me earlier when we were discussing the likes of Jim Sterling's wife and similarly, other SJWs who aren't remotely attractive, but somehow are in open relationships and constantly getting laid. The fact that they'll fuck male feminists makes them a valuable commodity. They prey on these poor sots and their lack of self-respect, and they reap what they sow in the process. Any one of these poor fools could do better, but they've been so beaten and broken down that they won't.

Sometimes, there's only so far you can push a man, especially when honest-to-god psychological abuse happens. Sometimes, this shit gets so bad that instead of breaking, the victim realizes what's going on. They refuse to be used in that fashion any longer, and they turn on their abuser. Often, this results in an enormous amount of salt, because the abuser realizes that their victim will be a victim no longer and is free to use everything they have to oppose them.
