Here come the barrage of excuses. He now had a "bad" cough even though he wasn't coughing during the fight.

Just admit it Anisa, he got his ass handed to him by someone they lined up in March for the fight, meanwhile idubbbz trained over a year. Dr Mike only did fitness boxing on and off which is vastly different than professional. He worked as an actual medical doctor, had a tour her recently went on, stays active posting on YouTube and still managed to find the time to train and win in a few short months. That shit to me is embarrassing in contrast.

Bet your happy Dr Mike didn't agree to a pro fight now eh? He'd be 0-1.
He got his ass handed Anisa because for the past 6 years he's been at home, on a computer filming videos where his only form of consistent exercise was stroking his dick. No cough or illness is going to magically close the athletic gap between him and Dr Mike without some serious time in the gym.
It seemed like a pure strength issue. Minx was clearly tired but nearly every time she landed a blow it hit hard vs haley who was throwing a lot of punches throughout the entire thing but they never seemed to affect minx much at all
That's the "athleticism is a cheat code" factor in sports kicking in. You can be a better technician, but you are going to lose to people who are just naturally bigger and more athletic than you, unless that skill gap is really, really wide. It's basically Deontay Wilder's career in a nutshell until he met Tyson Fury (with some cherry picking matches of course). You can almost certainly be a better technical boxer than him, but if all he needs to do is land one punch, and he's really fucking fast when he throws it, it's not going to matter unless you have the chin to take it. He also happens to be really fucking tall and long at 6'7 with an 83 inch reach, so he can hit you when you can't hit him.

That's athleticism/size for you. Not really any way to get around it without being a very technical fighter, and that's going to have a ceiling itself, because eventually you will meet someone as, if not more technical than you, but who is also a freak athlete with all the physical gifts (Tyson Fury).

Also never fighting again because of one loss is such cuck behavior, Ian really has got to stop proving his “haters” right.
Nah it's because he said it takes too much time and effort for him to do and he still wants to put videos out. Anyway it's not like Dr.Mike continued to put content out, go on tour, be a doctor and train ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

But let's not pretend that Ian isn't happy he won't have to get his ass handed to him again.

This is actually kind of mind-blowing and I feel like it's getting glossed over. You're trying to stage some huge boxing event, trash talking your opponents online, training for months... and you don't even hire a real, proven boxing coach? FFS.

I mean, Harley let Sam train him as a kind of a bit, and went into it knowing it was a gamble, but he clearly got FAR better training than any of these folks who shelled out who knows what kind of money to this Briggs dude. :story:
Its worth looking into the other trainers for the North American based competitors because its not unreasonable to think they got swindled, like Sam pointed out that Harley's coach only ever does pads with him which yeah is pretty weird.

Idubbbz must really have a humiliation kink cus Anisa is posting his ducked up face everywhere

News article about the event:

Creator Clash takes the cash-grabbing and clout-chasing out of influencer boxing

The event was a night full of odd pairings between newbies duking it out for charity.

On Saturday, influencer boxing changed forever.

The Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida was host to one of the most eclectic and thrilling fighting performances to ever spawn out of the denizens of social media. Creator Clash, a three-hour event with nine fights, took some of the oddest gamers, builders, musicians and variety channels on YouTube and Twitch and had them punch each other for audience amusement.

The formula for influencer boxing events has remained fairly unchanged since Logan Paul and KSI first brought each other to the ring in August 2018. There’s usually a display of manufactured drama, weird musical numbers, and someone promoting a cryptocurrency. Over the past few years, both Paul and his brother Jake have grown their boxing careers, culminating in Logan facing off against the undefeated Floyd Mayweather and Jake fighting UFC champion Tyron Woodley.

The Paul brothers’ fights have been seen by millions of people, appearing in some of the most premiere pummeling events. Jake’s latest fight was broadcast on Showtime and Logan made a guest appearance at Wrestlemania 38.

Not all of these boxing events have been successful though. Austin McBroom, star of the family vlogging Ace Family, spearheaded a “YouTubers vs. TikTokers” boxing match in 2021 that ended up underperforming. Some fighters claimed they were never paid and multiple production companies filed lawsuits against each other (both lawsuits were settled, with LiveOne agreeing to pay McBroom $3 million).

Creator Clash wasn’t designed to be another clout-chasing event. Ian Washburn, known online as iDubbbz, previously criticized typical influencer boxing events for being “money-driven.” He initially formulated the event to fight YouTuber, Bryan “RiceGum” Le for charity. After Le declined the offer, Washburn decided to run with the charitable aspect and create an entire YouTube boxing event with newbies. All of the fighters brought a mystery component to the ring, with viewers wondering if any of them could actually fight.

“I’ve always had a medium interest in YouTuber boxing, I’m not crazy about the people that have been involved so far,” Washburn said in an April video introducing the Creator Clash. “I wanted a new niche to be covered.”

All of the fighters had professional fighting coaches and months to prepare in order to avoid subpar spectacles. It was a group of friendly content creators, who weren’t creating fake beef to sell tickets, punching each other—with all proceeds going to the American Heart Association and other charities. By the end, viewers knew exactly who could (or couldn’t) take a punch.

Some fights that night were far different from a Paul brawl, appearing more like one-sided slap fests. Matt Watson, half of the YouTube gaming channel, SuperMega, squared off against Nathan Barnatt, better known as Dad, in the first bout. The fight lasted only 22 seconds, with Dad landing a TKO in the first round. Meanwhile, I Did A Thing’s Alex Apollonov beat Robert James Rallison of TheOdd1sOut in a match that also lasted a single round.

Other matches had more action, like Internet Comment Etiquette’s Erik Hoffstad losing to DJ Welch, which showed how tough two large dudes can punch. One of the weirdest pairings, maker Michael Reeves and financial guru Graham Stephens, was also fun to watch, with Reeves squeaking out ahead.

Fans were also out in force, cheering on their favorite creators in the heat of battle. H3 podcast producer AB Ayad had the crowd roaring after he lost to Brett “Hundar” Hundley, a gaming YouTuber. When Harley Morenstein, host of Epic Meal Time, beat Arin Hanson, host of the web series Game Grumps, you could hear the crowd chant “kiss” over and over.

A few of the matches were truly mesmerizing, showing how skilled the creators were in the ring. Watson’s co-host Ryan Magee, faced off against member of the Vlog Squad’s Alex Ernst in a bloody five round match that had Watson’s nose showing a fair amount of damage. And in the first female influencer boxing match at any of these events, Twitch streamer Minx barely secured a win against TikToker Yodeling Haley in a fifth-round total knockout.

The final and main event of the evening had Washburn up against Dr. Mike Varshavski, a YouTuber known for his charming good looks and medical takes. In a sweaty five-round match that had both fighters reeling in agony, Dr. Mike managed to take the win in a judge’s decision.

Creator Clash may have still been a bunch of influencer’s fighting for the adoration of fans, but it moved the goalpost of what these events can be. You don’t need the shameless drama, traditional celebrities, or even major skills to make an event successful. You can take a bunch of random, unconventional names and bring in their massive audiences who will support them—and their charities—in whatever circumstance.

Though we may still see the Paul brothers showboat on Showtime, it appears we’ll also be seeing more of these unconventional boxing events, as the second Creator Clash is already in the works.

They got Ian’s last name wrong, should he Jomha

No mention of Anisa lmao

Damn, she couldn’t fight because of a (very) previous concussion, and he lost because of tonsil stones??? Anisa can never just admit to anything haha, if any of you fellow goons have a job, try calling out due to “tonsil stones” and see what they tell you. The arrogance coupled with retardation is unbelievable, as well as a good way to summarize their marriage: “arrogance coupled with retardation, til death by syph do them part”

They can spend over a million on tattoos, new homes, stupid clothes, and a whole ass boxing event, but they won’t spend $6 on a toothbrush and toothpaste lol

LMAO this is so condescending

What? Minx was effortlessly trashing her. Haley was literally crying before the end.

Again, what? Dr Mike was barely trying and Icuck was fucked from the first round (which mysteriously ended early when it was clear he was losing)

Possible. A lot of these guys said yes to the boxing match first then went and found trainers. I can imagine that if you go to your average trainer and say "I have signed up to do a charity boxing event in x number of months. I have not fought or done any combat sports (or really, any sports at all) before", trainer is going to want maximum payment to attempt to whip you into shape and divert a lot of time in your direction.

Still, i'm going to take a bit of time to see what I can gather about the coaches these guys used. I'll start with the video I posted many pages back.
So in this clip from last April, there is the announcer guy EsfandTV, Ian, Anisa in the background, Justaminx, Michael Reeves, AB (the H3 guy), and Erik from Internet Comment Etiquette, all in one room. This is with that guy Bonafide Boxing, Michael Briggs, the guy Sam Hyde takes issue with, who appears to be the only guy in that room who has an idea what he is doing. The rest are clearly all novices.

They seem to be at a place called Box N' Burn, which we can tell from from the heavy bags having the place printed on them. IDK if this was their main place to train, or if this was them all meeting up
Screenshot 2022-05-16 at 23.46.53.png
A quick read about this gym on their site tells you a lot. It's a fitness gym above all, where they make you do boxing activities to get fit. It's named the number 1 gym in the Santa Monica area according to Men's Health. It is also non contact gym that is designed for fitness
Screenshot 2022-05-16 at 23.50.50.png
What is also annoying reading through the site is that a) Michael Briggs is again, not listed as a trainer, and b) the gym is owned by Tony Jeffries. Jeffries is a former Olympic bronze medalist boxer in the 2008 Beijing games, turned pro, badly fucked up his hands, then retired before his career could really get started. He also has his own youtube channel. Why this guy was not involved with The Creator Clash, as a 900k youtube channel owner and credentialed amateur boxer, is a complete mystery to me.

Video also clearly shows that they rented out this space to have their own private session with Briggs, where they are kinda fucking around. Looking at the services offered, it allows for a "hire the gym service", either for events or filming or shooting a video. I presume that being in California, this is a place where people use to shoot movie scenes or videos. I can almost 100% certain this is what Idubbbz and the others went for, which is utterly fucking stupid if it is the case.

So what can I guess from this video? Well, of the people listed above, only 2 of them won. Michael Reeves, and Justaminx. Reeves by actually being competent, and Minx by being a large Irish woman. Everyone else got fucking smashed. I also believe that according to other posts, Matt Watson and Ryan Magee used this guy as well, so he's like 2/5 in wins and losses. Not great. Also, went to the most top end exclusive fitness gyms to do filming, and at some point rented it out.

My guess is half of the people on the event went with this Michael Briggs guy to train, maybe they all did it as an internet influencer group (oh hey, we are all in this event, let's train with the same guy) and the lack of results showed.

I think that AB and especially Reeves hired other trainers for a "second opinion". Michael was very solid in his performance as an amateur and I don't think that the "influencer trainer" had any real effect on him. Especially the "non-contact policy" is fucking laughable. It's fucking boxing, liver shots and head shots are a given in this sport. And judging from the Doc's reactions in the ring (not protecting his head after the second round as an egregious example) it is really telling.

Haley was literally crying before the end.
Haley was definitely crying out of anger at herself and probably pain too. That last round, when she turns away from Minx and then she goes back to her corner, you can see frustration on her face at herself for not pushing through it. Same face dancers/gymnasts make when they roll an ankle on a landing or fall off a beam- you feel like you can only blame yourself for it and you get pissed.

Minx was well out of breath, taking 3x the amount of hits she landed on Haley, and had to work to get her hits in: like other posters have said, the weight of a 25 yr olds punch vs. a 19yr old is vastly different which is why it might have looked one-sided if you just compare visual facial damage. Haley pushed it to 4 rounds, better than Arin, better than Matt. And unlike the other fights that went to 4 or 5 rounds, this was Not A Fair Match in weight or age. I'd even argue she did more in her fight than icuck.

The rest of the article is smoking some copium though.

God damn, i originally thought she was just afraid of fighting. But she was afraid of the irish ogre, lol. She took one look at this creature, more stone & guinness than woman and decided to risk eternal ridicule rather than stand in front of it.
Shes probably gonna instantly dump this professional boxer persona then i assume, since her boy got eternally btfo and herself proven a coward. Whats next? Professional organizer?
The arabs have never been all that great at fighting. So when Anisa saw that pure gaelic potato physique she did what all of the arabs do in the west, play victim and hide behind white women who do all the fighting for them.

He said at the weigh in (I think) that he won't fight again unless he absolutely has to and if he loses he especially won't fight again. So will be interesting to see if this will be a reoccurring event.

Ian: "Yeah, I don't think boxing is for me, I've got enough brain damage, pain and humiliation for a lifetime. I feel like I'm done with boxing."

Yeah, AB and Reeves looked much sharper. AB was in that fight with Hundar that had the shape of a boxing fight, where both came in with some kind of plan.

I looked up everyone's favourite 22 second knockout artist, Dad/Nathan Barnatt. He trained at Portland City Boxing.
Screenshot 2022-05-17 at 00.58.05.png
This seems like a more serious gym, still targeting fitness but also having an amateur boxing team for people who want to spar. Considering how fucking hard he came out in his fight, and immediately alternated between body-head-body-head, i think it's fair to say he did hard rounds, and apparently did 6 months of prep leading up to this.
Screenshot 2022-05-17 at 00.59.44.png

Edit: @Prinz Scheißenherz, you are correct. Reeves, Odd1out and Hundar trained together under Michael Flores, 3x golden gloves champ, pro boxer, all around trainer. This is them after running with their coach uphill. Both Reeves and Hundar were relatively sharp, and won. Odd1 had the unfortunate luck of coming across a far more athletic fighter who just mulched him.

Judging from the height/weight class, Flores gave Reeves the best training. I wouldn't be surprised if Reeves got a fraction of the real deal during sparring.
On topic: Fuck Anisa.

Yeah, AB and Reeves looked much sharper. AB was in that fight with Hundar that had the shape of a boxing fight, where both came in with some kind of plan.
AB has said he trained with Wale Omotoso who is another pro boxer turned gym coach after injuries. I don't really know much about boxing but his record is 28/34 over a 15 year career so pretty impressive.

He didn't just face up against a much more athletic opponent but IDAT also got training from Jeff Haslam a professional with a good record in boxing.
True, IDAT was one of the sharpest there.

So I think we are roughly all in agreement that most of the people fighting picked good coaches to help them, but the organisers and main eventer chose some meme not influencer coach who prepped his guys poorly?

Its absolutely insane what women could do. dude didn’t have to go through all of this stupid shit and made him self look like a pathetic beta cuck. in an alternate reality, ian wouldve tried to get the CC back together, told anisa to take down the onlyfans and give her the ultimatum of leaving (cause probably before he was a simp he had chicks wanting to screw him), force her to change her last name to his, and reject the blatant failed personality change.
