I think people forget that actual "irl" idols do interact with guys all the time on stuff like TV shows and web radio. It's not like Love Live or something where guys almost literally don't exist.

Why does anyone give a shit about the "vtuber vs irl booba" trend? Are a bunch of 2view nobodies who were probably all doing coomerbait already destroying some precious illusion, that somehow wasn't destroyed by hand cams, or the fact that they all openly credit "art moms" and riggers, or a million other things?

I mean Fairy Ichika has been showing off her irl body since she started and no one complained. Heck, just look at Kson's stuff, she's never had any qualms about doing full irl videos along with vtuber content.

Since it's unlikely they'll intermingle the branches, I think StarsEN would do 100x better simply because NijiEN males kinda proven there's a market and they currently have 0 competition (being real) so I think they'd do "ok" for Hololive but not amazing but still likely a lot better than what most indie males would do without corp backing.

NijiJP also proved that there's a market for male V-Tubers. Doesn't count for shit when you get handled the way Holostars have been.

Neo-Porte came in with like 3 dudes, good marketing strategy from Shibuya Hal, and total freedom to engage Nijisanji, Hololive, Holostars, and Indies. To the surprise of no one, one of the boys has a similar sized audience to Astel, and the other two are only below Astel and Roberu. They did that in 2 months.

I know Kiara isn't (She's coomerbait despite her hating the bottom left meme), I just used her as an example where I don't see her as avoiding men because of fear of her fans or idol culture. I don't think it's all fake, some people will just avoid collabs because they are genuinely socially awkward with strangers, others may have issues with men (Kiara) and others will avoid collabs due to simp money (Noel).
