Y'know, that text got me to think....who AM I voting for tomorrow? So, I went onto Ballotpedia for the scoop. All Repubs, fuck the Dems.
Eight candidates are running in the Republican primary for North Carolina’s 13th Congressional District on May 17, 2022. Incumbent Rep. Ted Budd (R) is running for the U.S. Senate and is not seeking re-election. DeVan Barbour IV, Kelly Daughtry, Renee Ellmers, Bo Hines, and Kent Keirsey have attracted the most media coverage.
Barbour is a businessman from Johnston County who has focused on inflation and his ties to the state. “I’ve been involved in North Carolina Republican politics and campaigns for 20 years,” Barbour said. In his responses to Ballotpedia's Candidate Connection survey, Barbour wrote "Joe Biden's out of control spending is destroying our economy. Its driving up prices and busting families' budgets. It's got to stop."
How're you gonna stop it though? Also, you've "been involved for 20 years". I smell a RINO. No thanks.
Daughtry is an attorney from Johnston County and the daughter of Leo Daughtry (R), the former Majority Leader of the North Carolina House of Representatives. Daughtry has highlighted inflation and deficit spending as key issues. Daughtry’s campaign website says, “Bidenomics is crushing the American economy and middle-class families. We will face grave financial danger if we do not address inflation and spending head-on.” Former Rep. George Holding (R), who represented District 13 from 2013 to 2017, has endorsed Daughtry.
"Bidenomics"

Ellmers is a registered nurse and a former member of the U.S. House of Representatives, representing North Carolina’s 2nd Congressional District from 2011 to 2017. Ellmers has said her previous congressional experience would be an asset. Referring to gas prices, Ellmers said, “We don’t have time to wait for a learning curve to fix this mess. Experience is essential. I’ll start work on this the first day of the 118th Congress.”
She's pushing energy independence hard, and she apparently advocated for the Keystone pipeline and expanding domestic natural gas exploration. I like, I like.
Hines is a former college football player for North Carolina State University who interned for Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb (R) and U.S. Sen. Mike Rounds (R-S.D.). Hines has said there's a need for younger voices in Congress. In his responses to Ballotpedia's Candidate Connection survey, Hines criticized incumbency and said he would sign a pledge not to serve more than four consecutive terms. “I’m a fresh new voice that will work to refurbish the Republican party,” he wrote. Former President Donald Trump (R), the Club for Growth, and Reps. Matt Gaetz (R), Madison Cawthorn (R), and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R) have endorsed Hines.
Hmmm, interesting. Trump and most of the MAGA group endorse this guy. Wonder what he's bringing to the table....
"We need term limits. Too many incumbents in Washington DC become entrenched in establishment politics, are beholden to special-interest groups, and are more interested in winning re-election than delivering for their constituents."

Well, that was an easy decision. Now for the Senate.
Fourteen candidates are running in the Republican primary on May 17, 2022, for U.S. Senate in North Carolina. Incumbent Richard Burr (R) is not running for re-election. The candidates that have led recent polls and have received the most media attention are Ted Budd, Pat McCrory, and Mark Walker.
Budd, the owner of a gun range and store in Rural Hall, has represented North Carolina's 13th Congressional District since 2017. Trump endorsed Budd in June 2021, and Budd has focused on his support for Trump and Trump's record. Budd's website says, "Ted was elected to Congress along with President Donald Trump in 2016 and has established a strong, conservative record supporting efforts to secure our borders and stand up for America First policies.
Oh, so Ted already has a working relationship with Trump.
Ted believes it should be easy to vote, but hard to cheat. He raised his voice in opposition to unelected bureaucrats changing election procedures, which violated the Constitutional requirements for state legislatures to determine election law. He supports a voter ID requirement, which activist judges and liberal Democrats have opposed and delayed in North Carolina despite voters overwhelmingly approving an amendment to the state constitution that requires voter ID.
Good, good. Ted's looking like the winner here.
McCrory was governor from 2013 to 2017. Before that, McCrory was the mayor of Charlotte from 1995 to 2009. McCrory has focused on economic issues and has highlighted his record as governor. McCrory's website says he “turned around North Carolina's economy from the fourth highest unemployment rate in the country to one of the highest for job growth.” Former presidential candidate and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (R) and Maryland Governor Larry Hogan (R) have endorsed McCrory.
>mayor of Charlotte, one of the state's Dem strongholds
>CHRIS CHRISTIE endorsed him

GTFO of my sight, RINO Pat. Next.
Walker represented North Carolina's 6th Congressional District from 2015 to 2021 and was a pastor for 16 years before that. Walker says he is a conservative warrior and a bridge-builder. Walker said, “[O]ut of 1,000 elected Republicans in North Carolina, I'm the only one to speak or give a commencement address at one of our state's HBCU's, and I'm the only Republican in all of Congress to win the United Negro College President's Award.”
>"bridge-builder" which = doormat
>college-educated niggers gave him an award

We have our winners folks. I'm going with Bo Hines and Ted Budd.

I am not really into the single issue voting thing, but holy shit I would vote for AOC if she supported term limits

Probably in HR or DIE.
Its a funny ass meme, but Glenn Beck's side kick actually had her on (after they used her as a meme for years) and she was actually smart and well spoken, she just had an unfortunate moment of losing her train of thought after fumbling at the start (they apparently give the contestants the questions in advance IIRC)

So she got the question in advance and that was still the result? I'm going to call shenanigans on your "smart and well-spoken" assessment.

@Vyse Inglebard Literally votes for the best candidates in their respective primaries. Based.
Funny thing is, I had forgotten the election was tomorrow. By texting me and reminding me, Ethan has just ensured two votes for the policies he hates.
nigga voters matter policies.JPG

Good fucking job, you college-educated niggerfaggot.

Almost like assuming character traits are linked directly to skin color is a bad idea or something.

I really think that Clarence Thomas missed an opportunity to declare that he was going to identify as a woman for one femtosecond and then once again identify as a man, thereby making him the first black woman and first trans woman on the Supreme Court, all to piss in the Cheerios of the sorts of people who want to wave Jackson's identity around as a win.

Dude, I'd vote for Dracula if he supported term limits. Especially if it was this Dracula

It's not like he would be out of place. Congress is already teeming with unholy bloodsucking creatures of the night.

But what if it was between him and Grim Adventures Of Billy & Mandy Dracula? Unlike everyone else in congress he doesn't suck blood, he scrapes and licks.

Seriously though, if someone were to run purely on getting congressional term limits and nothing else while promising to resign the second they would probably win by a large margin in any race outside of bug hives.
