The most reasonable explanation I found as to why people do this is someone said "her hair already looks like a Hijab" but my reasoning would be maybe it's because she's shy and needs to cover herself as much as possible? I'm not sure that Muslim women wear hijabs because they're shy so I still don't know where these people are getting their logic from, seems to me like one person did it and some people liked it and it snowballed into her constantly being a Muslim

Let's not forget that MLP:FiM is a fantasy by definition, so to imagine a real world religion such as Islam having a place in the FiM universe for which no logical connection between the two exists is equally confounding. Even if you just make up some fantasy cop-out of Islam for FiM's universe, I don't see where in the hell you would have room to input it when you consider that, in the show, there is already a very clear bitheistic system in place, and adding some long-dead religious prophet to the mix named "Marehammed" claiming to be monotheist doesn't exactly fare well with the way things are already structured.

But who am I kidding; this is headcanon we're talking about.

Sounds to me like he/she has some seriously unfulfilled fetishes going on there, and expresses them in art form. Also probably made the 'uncensored' version another feather because she realised how much the surgical equipment might put off her ticklefans? I'm not sure.
