I think he’s using pignosis here. There has probably been a time when the payment fell on a weekend but the Monday after was a holiday so he didn’t get paid till Tuesday. Now just exaggerate that a little bit and say it was Wednesday and pretend it happens every single time his pay date is a weekend.

My guess is that he was expecting way more gifted members than that. Don't be surprised if, in his head, he was expecting to get at least 3 times more members, especially with Clark around.

Christ alive, the lip biting and the looking everywhere but at the camera as he explains why he needs tips made me think of Bubbles in The Wire. Maybe it's confirmation bias, but to this filthy detractor he looks like a junkie when he talks about instant money.

I did laugh at his examples for why he needed tips:
"If I need a buy a new game today, tips pay for it" makes sense, if you squint, but Phil barely buys new games anymore. He's down to what, one new release a month. So that's $70. But you ask for double that every stream Phil. So where does the rest of it go?
"If I need to buy something for the business, tips pay for it" even the most dented of dentheads can't possibly believe this. What was the last thing he bought to improve da business? The PS5?
"Bills and stuff behind the scenes, generally, tips pay for that" What? When did that happen? Wasn't the set in stone lore from DSP's mouth that the Youtube payment for all of that?

"You're a piece of shit if you think that someone that has to live day to day on tips and shit is funny" Fuck you Phil. If you could budget and stop spunking every penny up the wall on WWE Champions you'd be golden. There is a global cost of living crisis, people are having to choose between heating and eating, and this prick has the gall to say he is living "day to day" on over $100 a day. Sometimes it doesn't matter that DSP lives in a hell of his own creation, the desire to see someone scream in his face or batter him is overwhelming.

He expects to get back to his Twitch numbers. Which was around 900 befoire he was kicked out of the partnership program. Hewck there times when he had over 1000 Twitch subs. That's ahuge chunk of money. Phil needs a hard reality check but the devil's luck provides him protection

Personally I’m good with it because it means Phil is creatively bankrupt (which we have all known) to the point that he will take any dumbshit suggestion no matter how foolish it makes him look, and it means that ultimately he adds another group of people (in this case, a group of people he both publicly and privately hates, as opposed to one he only claims not to despise) who hold his entire future and livelihood in their hands.

He can pretend all he wants that he isn’t the monkey rather than the organ grinder, but a breakdown like this pulls back any curtain over reality that he’s tried to weave.

Rambo and Howard both point out numerous failings of DSP that I'd love to hear DSP try and refute. But more than that, and as hilarious as Howard's eventual (justified) anger at DSP, Rambo says some things that I can see truly hitting deep at DSP, all while being nice about it. It'd be a night with an inscrutable gin tweet of a file cabinet picture.
