His Daily Kos account is the best place to look at election cycle stuff, but he seems to have ceased posting there very shortly after the election itself. There is some stuff on his _supernovasky_ reddit account after that.

Long story short, he was heavily self medicating with alcohol and other drugs due to panic disorder. He mentions social situations caused him panic attacks.

He has a few posts on Reddit on his old account talking about being dependent on alcohol and Valium, and I did spot a post from Shroomery (did archive) where he was saying how he had fucked himself up on them and people were saying "Dude you were warned about benzos".

I think he just read up on alcohol addiction and drugs and tried it on as a personality for a while, he never mentions avoiding alcohol nowadays

He's mentioned it very occasionally on his Twitter, and a number of times on his old Reddit account.
