Odds are it’ll be a rival Republican voting billionaire that takes him out, despite all his crying about people being terribly woke.

Bezos could buy a sufficient share of Twitter to get the board to sue Musk and force him to liquidate a lot more Tesla stock, and completely crash it as the shorts get their revenge.

Well this is exactly my point. It’s clearly a thing that happened, nobody with any experience of the world is particularly surprised or gives much of a shit, if they’re honest.

So it surprises me that there are people in this thread totally willing to fall for his half-assed deflection and culture war bullshit and apparently believe it’s all fake lying joo whores and evil woke Hilary assassins out to get him?

And why is he openly panicking in public anyway? Doesn’t he have PR people to tell him to shut the fuck up? Is he worried there’s worse to come?

To be fair, just because it’s probably true doesn’t mean it isn’t still part of an intentional attack on his character. Clearly the matter had been settled privately and the stewardess was happy to keep quiet, so the fact that we’re hearing about it now kinda makes it seem like somebody went digging for something to use against him.

Yes, I wouldn’t argue with that. And I’m also fine with it. Billionaires shouldn’t get more right to privacy than everyone else, they shouldn’t be above the law and they shouldn’t be immune from paying taxes.

It’s not, however, a “political attack” just because he found out about the leak slightly in advance and decided to declare that he’s a fascist now and really the victim in all this.

Which proves nothing other than she made a claim and they paid her to end the matter of her making a claim. Which is SOP when lawsuits are threatened. It's less costly and less damaging to the reputation of everyone.

I could spin a story that if she had a strong case she could have negotiated for much much more or rejected the offer and gone to court for much much more, so obviously this was a shakedown, but I don't have any actual evidence of that.

You not liking Elon Musk doesn't mean shit other than you don't like Elon Musk, same as me liking Elon Musk doesn't mean shit other than I like Elon Musk. I find this plausible or I find this implausible because reasons that have nothing to do with relevant particulars is wishcasting. There are no relevant particulars here, it's literally he said she said. The $250,000 doesn't prove anything considering how any claim of sexual harassment that isn't batshit insane (my boss sexually harassed me because the bug aliens told him to) usually results in an offer of here's some money now shut up and go away regardless of its merits.
