Ive always wondered how these crane games work

Do they ship you the prize or summin
Yes.

Someone needs to tell me if I am making up rrats in my own head or not, but when they do these call-in streams, I swear to the Lord, I remember somebody mentioning that they message people and ask people beforehand if they'll come and say hi. I cannot for the life of me remember who was talking about this or where I think I heard it, but it MIGHT have been related to an Ollie birthday stream? I'm only asking because it's driving me up the wall not being able to discern whether I'm just making shit up or not. Information would be much appreciated thanks.

Is Ame the most top tier Myth member
It's all in a night's work for our girl. Nobody gets shit together like Amelia Watson.
LEEEEEEEEEGGGGGGSSSSS.jpg
Idk if anyone clipped it, but during the Bae stream where a bunch of the girls all hopped on with her, they started talking about plays and musicals, and Ame mentioned a family member did them professionally, so when she was younger she got to see a lot of the backstage stuff. She mentioned she found it really cool how all the behind the scenes production took place and that she likes that kind of thing. It seems her inclinations towards producing content has been growing for years. I'm glad she can get some satisfaction from all this besides just the monetary goodness.

As designated thread slowpoke, I have alot of catching up to do.

I still don't know what most the girls even look like irl.

God's save me
Not missing much really. Among HololiveEN/JP and NijisanjiEN there's only a handful of really stand-out girls that I would say are more than just average.

Bae's stream maybe? I think in hers Kiara? mentioned a behind the scenes schedule and how she was accidentally allocated more time than other people, so it would make sense they'd ask ahead of time.

Spoiler: they're asians.

None I've seen are bad looking but the biggest EN standouts that come to mind are Petra and IRyS, and speaking of Petra and her IRL I'm surprised she's not had any slip ups when in collabs with Millie considering that's evidently her real name.

So bit of interesting buzz on /vt/. Supposedly the Feesh has been spotted playing games in a non-streaming capacity with fans.

/vt/ can't decide if this is a fan discord, or a discord that Finana has herself setup for gachikoi fans. They're also arguing amongst themselves if she's breaking her contract or if they're allowed to meet up with fans like this normally. All in all, schizo posting is winning out on this.

Yeah but look what I caused by somehow unknowingly following kiara on Twitter. Its pain I tell you.

Average is good

That's fucking cool

Thanks for the reply, I definitely knew I wasn't crazy, yep. It's pretty cool to know, because I like the thought that Ina just went full chad and invited half of them to her birthday, AND they showed up. Truly she is a woman to admire.

"could we *blushes*"
No matter how private you think your conversations are, I would highly suggest never typing anything like that. I'm about to form a blackhole with how hard I'm cringing into myself after reading that. All I ever think of when seeing things like that is Senzawa's furry copypasta rap.
I guess regarding the actual drama though, I'm not sure what to make of it. I have a hard time blaming people for trying to make money, but giving perceived preferential treatment to some fans and not others in a way that seems sneaky or secretive is never ever a good look and will cause extremely bad optics. Remember when Rushia was imploding and some of her personalized messages to her gachikois came out? I hope this isn't that kind of situation, but like I said, it's optics that matter, and this looks not so great lol. If I had to take a stance, I would just say be honest from the outset. Hopefully when I wake up and it turns out this is something she definitely mentioned before and this is all just people out of the loop not understanding things.

Edit:
Actually (I can't believe I'm saying this) but after reading /vt/ it seems like nothing at all. So fuck it who cares. When /vt/ is making sense that's how you know there's really nothing going on. Seems like the ones who started making a stink about this took it in the way that I described above, when in reality there wasn't much going on and instead there was a link posted in the member's section. Nothingburger and a few /vt/schizos name a better duo.

While I like Calli a ton, I can easily criticize the fact she is a terrible actress. Calli is not the pink haired anime girl, it's just Karen. She probably views her genmates the same way. I'm sure she'd go all out doing something for the person behind Ina's real birthday.
Tbf, this goes for pretty much most of EN, especially Gura. Their appeal comes from how naturally they lean into their character archetype.

About the birthday thing...yeah, it's not a great look, but oh well. The worst that'll ever come from that is its addition to that one /vt/ard's long list of Calli's "yabs" throughout her career, with only two or three truthful points (the rest being factually wrong or opinionated).

Maybe she'll explain herself just like with that night she allegedly got black out drunk with JChad. We'll wait and see I guess.

EDIT: Hold on, do people even know if Calli's video was recorded on the day she sent it?

Do they ship you the prize or summin
Yes, they do.
It takes a while though because it's shipped straight from Japan but the prize you win gets shipped straight to you on the day of you winning it. You do get charged for shipping though which is done by automatically deducting it from the credit card you have assigned to your account (but pretty often they also have free shipping campaigns where you get free shipping regardless of the size of your prize).

Tried it myself once and it's pretty good if you really want something you can't find anywhere like a figure or a limited edition plush, but ultimately not worth it compared to just buying the item yourself without the risk of losing a bunch of tokens in the crane. It also did take a week and a half to arrive and Japan's relatively close by (maybe because of the shipping method) so I don't know how long it'd be for someone who's in Canada(?) like Petra.

Didn't Rushia also had been accused for doing something like this, which people theorized attributed to her firing?

Doesn't look good if it's true

She even tweets about watching her members playing, if interacting like this was a breach of the contract I'd guess she would've been more careful about making it public

Got a little question for the group, please disregard if it doesn't interest you.

So I came upon Ina's famous "Kabedon't" clip earlier and I thought this clip is a pretty good introduction to Ina. It gives you a fair feel for her sense of humor, her banter with chat, and the overall vibe of her streams. I contrasted it with clickbaity/cherry-picked clips that maybe give a misleading impression of the streamer.

So here's my question. Do you know of any clips that you feel are a really good representation of the streamer? Maybe one that could serve as a good introduction to the streamer for those not familiar with them? I'm particularly interested in Nijisanji and Holostars since I'm least familiar with them, but Hololive clips are also welcome.

Definitely the Miko's GTA N-Word clip

I guarantee you that Calli would call Connor on his birthday.

sorry

Why would she call the person laying next to her?
It’s actually a filthy dirty threesome with IronMouse as part of a underhanded plan to join VShojou and take over the business with IronMouse and Naynners to become “Three In The Pink”

That might actually have some sense. Kuzuha got a rule 63 model based on a past running joke (Sanya) when he hit 1 million subs, so Kanae having a matching model for a collective ChroNoiR meme does seem at least possible.

And yes, Kanae's the second male/Nijisanji Vtuber to hit 1 million.

It could also potentially explain things like the instant merch.

Eekum Bokum for Korone.

Pekora’s “Hey Moona!” stuff is what got me into Vtubers in the first place.
