I knew someone like this when I was a kid.

She was the 5th of 5 kids. Every mealtime was a Hunger Games style competition. They went through 3 huge boxes of cereal every morning, and if you were late to the table you didn’t get any. If you were a slow eater, the older brothers would literally scoop food off your plate.

When my friend would visit and stay for dinner, she would eat 2 or 3 huge plates of spaghetti exactly like Chins does - just shoveling it in. (Then she would go home right after, so she wasn’t late for dinner at her house!)

She could get away with it as a skinny, hyperactive kid of 7-8 years old. But as an adult these issues with food continued. Even without having sibling competition for it, she ate as much as she could. Huge food insecurities as a child led to her being very overweight as an adult.

Chantal didn’t have those same dynamics growing up, but I do wonder how much of her mentality is just the pure competition and selfishness. Eat fast and eat a lot purely to deprive others. Like a brat who would rather destroy a toy so they aren’t forced to share it. Similar to my friend’s older siblings who would steal food from her plate, not because they were hungry (they still had food on their plates) but because they didn’t want her to have it. A show of dominance in that hierarchy.

She doesn't want to know what else is wrong with her. That's why she runs to the ER for every slight discomfort instead of making an appointment with her PCP (that and the ER won't make her get on a scale). The ER can tell her she's OK right now. What she does know she ignores. She was diagnosed with diabetes, which she says she's cured (based on what, exactly?), a fatty liver, and apparently an enlarged spleen (she recently just casually dropped that one). Also, she was supposed to get a colonoscopy over a year ago. She talks about "getting healthy," but instead doubles down on all of the bad habits that got her in the state she's in in the first place. Ignorance is bliss in her mind.

I am on the bandwagon that one day she'll die in her sleep from a heart attack or stroke, or suddenly drop dead at some random time, hopefully not while driving, because she could take out innocent victims. The best would be if it happened while she was stopped at a drive thru window, on stream. OR! during a sleep stream. Viewers would be waiting for for hours for Gunt to wake up, then a concerned viewer would notify Peetz. Peetz would go live and say something like "Uuuh, she's dead. Yeah."
