it could be a problem with bloodflow, or it might be one of the million things that randomly causes eczema. dermatology and immunology doctors have to do a bunch of extensive testing to pin down causes, and even then there may not be a clear answer. she could be eating something or wearing something or touching something that causes her skin to flake. There might be a latent bacterial or fungal infection that is mild and just causes the skin to flake in response. I was trying to look into this, found not much; there is the existing Newman Goldfarb protocol ; used by natal women to spur on breast milk production
