See, I'm very unfamiliar with the US and particular areas in regard to their treatment and community of the LGBT. Especially pre-80s. So thank you for that information.
I tend to use Chicago for my WoD and CoC games so I have a ton of information on the city from the late 1800's to 1990's

What a fucking loser.

"Hi, I made a trip to California. Still just going to the desert though. I live in another part of the desert. Not going to the mountains or one of the cities or anything. Still getting fucked up the ass by $7 gas. I'm supposedly here to sell stuff. Nobody's buying."

"Best show ever".

"Best show ever".
416.5 mi trip for a $5 sale. Well worth it I say. It's on par with what we know on how Thomas does business. Lose a shit town of money to come out of a "show" to leave in the red.

The rock he sold.

Casing is probably worth more than the rock

So many merchant stalls! Such a great show! And look at that scenery too! It looks like Fallout New Vega complete with at least one ghoul.

The tickets weren't cheap, either.

You know I'm starting to understand why Tom never does anything and instead just pretends to do things (trust me bro), because every time he tries it's a letdown.

I'll bet if there wasn't photographic evidence of this whole thing he'd be telling everyone about this incredible show where he made a killing on his stupid shitty fucking rocks, and the tickets barely cost anything, and how he totally hung out with a bunch of Indians and trans individuals who told him how great he was and how much he inspired them, and keep pounding your keyboards and wallpapering your broken brains with your delusional lies, dipshits.

Sad. Many such cases.

Do you think it could be possible that Tom didn't sell any rocks at the art festival because rocks aren't art?
I would say that some rocks can be used as art. Whether it's the craft of faceting and cutting stones, using them to be set into something, scultped, etc.

Tom's aren't of course, because they're lazily aquired stones he holds onto solely for their value and not for any artistic merit. There's little to no transformation.

This festival was a scam by the promoter. These happen a lot and if it weren't Tom getting conned I'd feel bad. Definitely feel for some of the other vendors.

The organizer charges top dollar for table space, and also huge money for tickets. Doesn't spend a dime on promotion and laughs all the way to the bank. Who in their right mind is paying $100 USD for a flea market ticket with absolutely no entertainment or anything in it?

It's the person who went there that was scammed. Thomas was just a guest. This however makes it worse as it just shows that if you're associated with him you'll get conned out of money too.

They had a stage. This doesn't meant they had entertainment though. I can't even see a food stall for some water. Even our flea markets have a place for hotdogs and drinks and you can pick up mini donuts.

If you paid to be a VIP you got buffet food provided. There didn't look to be enough people there for street food vendors to even bother.
