Two 8-month-old pit bulls that were loose in Nanaimo attacked several children, severely injuring at least one. Other people that came to aid the children were also injured.

The children were playing in a yard at the house of one of their friends. The dogs were from somewhere else in the neighborhood and had been cited for being at large previously.

One of the owners of the dogs came and got the dogs but did not stick around. The news interviewed the other owner, a Dangerhair that looked to be in her late 40s or early 50s. While she was devastated at what her dogs had done, she said to the reporter, "People are saying, look at this from the prospective of a parent, well, these dogs are my kids, too," and then she broke down crying.

It was later reported both dogs were euthanized, as there have been other incidents prior to this one, and due to the severity of the injuries the one particular child sustained.

To the dangerhair dog owner I would have to say, "If these dogs were your KIDS, you did a lousy job of raising them. Thank heavens you didn't spawn any of your own."

Pitbulls are so fucking worthless they attack everyone  but someone who actually deserves it. That's cosmic level fuckery.

‘He would have gotten them again’: 2 children, mother attacked by neighbor’s pit bull

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC/Gray News) - A family in South Carolina is trying to recover after a neighbor’s pit bull attacked them last month.

WCSC reports Bethany Hastings’ neighbor with dementia wandered onto her property on April 26 and needed help getting back home. Hastings said she and her two children got into their golf cart and helped the woman back home.

However, once they got to the neighbor’s house, they noticed her pit bull was loose. Hastings said the dog ran outside and jumped on the golf cart.

First, the animal attacked her 2-year-old son and then her 4-year-old daughter, Lainey Bayles.

“First he got my brother, and then second he got me and then third he got my mom,” Lainey said.

Hastings, a nurse, said she was able to stop the dog from attacking her kids again by holding him down for 15 “terrifying” minutes until help arrived.

“I didn’t have a choice,” she said. “If I had let go, he would have gotten them or me again.”

Hastings said a neighbor arrived about five minutes before emergency crews and pulled her children into his truck to help. She called him their “hero.”

According to a report from the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, the three were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Hastings and her son were able to be released from the hospital that evening, but Lainey sustained the most severe injuries and spent four days at the medical center.

“They hadn’t quite seen anything like that before to that extent, with that much damage,” she said.

Hastings said over the next year, Lainey will have to go through several different procedures to correct the injuries to her face.

“I thought she’d wind up at the hospital maybe for a broken bone or something like that, but never this,” Hastings said.

After the attack, the family said it’s been hard navigating their new fear of just being outside.

“After that, you realize just how vulnerable you are to everything,” Hastings said.

She also said she hopes their story is a reminder that if you have a dog that could cause any sort of harm, you should keep it contained so it can’t hurt anyone.

The pit bull has since been euthanized, according to Hastings.

I was at an outdoor equestrian event today. I wanted to go to the other end of the arena for a different view, but as I neared the bend (football field shaped) I saw that a couple had a large gray purebred-looking pitbull that was actively lunging at the horses trotting by through the fence. I decided that nope, I do not need to be at the direct end of the arena.

If they didn't have a grip on that murdermutt, it would've definitely been able to get through the bars and to the horses and riders. Meanwhile, there was another shaggy dog walking around (I think a stray) that was just happy to be petted by all the people and didn't seem too interested in the horses. SHOCK.

Brooklyn cops seek suspect after pit bull bites officer’s head in Coney Island

A pit bull bit an NYPD officer in the head in Brooklyn, prompting officers to shoot the canine, on Sunday evening, police reported.

Officers were attempting to apprehend a suspect who was believed to be armed just after 6 p.m. on May 15 when he fled into 3506 Neptune Ave. in Coney Island.

With the door open, law enforcement sources said, a pit bull emerged rushing at an officer and latching onto their face. Officers shot the dog in response; the canine remains alive at this time.

The injured officer was whisked to a nearby hospital along with a fellow officer for observation after firing his weapon.

The suspect remains at large at this time.

Anyone with information regarding the incident can call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (for Spanish, dial 888-57-PISTA). You can also submit tips online at crimestoppers.nypdonline.org, or on Twitter @NYPDTips. All calls and messages are kept confidential.

Sorry for the dog-sperging but she really bought this on herself (and not just by being #pibblemommy)

Pic on the left shows an idiot not fit to own a lapdog who is restraining the head (No! Do NOT do this!) and forcing eye contact (NoNoNoNoNo!) on a clearly anxious and avoidant dog. It really looks like the poor thing is trying to get through the horrible boundary pushing without eating her face but eventually hes gonna snap and I really can't blame him. Also looks like only she got a lunge n snap rather than full on attacked...

Hope that bitch has some nasty scars cos she's earned them.

Officer shoots one of two dogs after they attacked 11-year-old Auburn girl

AUBURN, Wash. – Heart-wrenching video released by the Auburn Police Department shows two dogs attack a little girl as she cowered on her front porch.
In a second video the department released, a police body camera recorded those same animals charging at officers. One officer ended up [censored] one of the dogs.
Maryana McCraigie, 11, never imagined she'd be fending off her neighbors' two dogs but her family’s home surveillance system shows the American Bullys lunging and snapping at her while she tried to push them back from her front porch.
“I saw a broom so I tried to fend them off with a broom and then they bit my arm,” the fifth-grader said.
Matthew McCraigie said normally someone is home when his daughter is done with school. However, last Friday school let out early so Maryana was by herself. He said he never much worried about the dogs before and has had no problem with the owners.
“It was just a major accident,” McCraigie said. “Maybe they should have double-checked the fence before they left the dogs unattended in the back yard."
Auburn police arrived after the attack was called in. One officer had barely gotten out of the patrol car when the two loose dogs made a wild run at him. Body camera footage shows the officer open fire as the dog rushes up to within lunging distance.
The wounded dog was later euthanized. The other dog was returned to its owner.
“This is the first time they've ever done something like this or the first time they've ever got out the gate,” said Olivia Burton, who lives with the owner of the dogs. “They've never posed a problem. They're always around kids."
Maryana ended up with a bite wound on her arm. She said the whole experience was scary and isn't sure what to think about the surviving dog still being next door.
“It's fine. I just don't really want that to happen again,” she said.
The girls father said he is not interested in pressing charges. A criminal case could move forward anyway given that an officer had to fire his gun to defend himself.
When it comes to any potential charges there are a few possibilities under review. The dog owner could be charged with having an animal at large, which is an infraction. More serious is an animal causing injury to a person, which is a gross misdemeanor. There is also an investigation to see if the surviving dog should be declared dangerous

And the idiot dog owner posted about "Their poor pibbles"

I find the pitbull issue to be a very interesting one. We dont really have them in my country, we have other dogs that are an issue at times.

Anyway, I think what is happening is a congregation of issues that when factored in, create dead kids and mauled women. Notice how most of these stories are about attacks on women and children, as well as pets. Not many attacks on men, although they do of course happen.

The majority of pitbulls are fine when you look at the numbers, so why do they show up so often in deadly or damaging attacks compared to other dogs.

Pitmommies.

Its not enough to get a dog that is noted for its aggression and high activity, but look at so many of these stories. Are they getting these dogs from a respected breeder from pups, or are they "rescuing" god knows fucking what from the shelter? Thats right, most of this are shelter dogs, or strays they "rescue". If a dog is a stray one of two reasons is the most likely. Its an ex fighting dog that is no longer useful for the scum who used it, thus its a murder machine waiting to eat your kids. Or its from a piece of shit dog owner who dumps it out on the streets, consider what upbringing that dog has had. Congrats, you now have a mentally unstable, likely abused murder machine with a nonsensical set of triggers.

Not to be judgemental, well fuck it lets, but these same pitmommies are also mothers, from broken families. Their kids are not taught how to treat a dog, let alone a dog that can be highly aggressive for very little reason.

The congregation of all these points ends up with not an if, but a when that thing is going to freak out and start killing things.

Its a shit dog, and pretty much any other normal breed is a far better choice, better to let this breed die off. Sadly pitmommies and wannabe thugs are not going to let that happen. Its all the more strange to me as this is happening in America. Fucking AMERICA! Fuck your stupid mutts, if you want protection just get a gun. Fuck if I lived in America I would be armed to the teeth, even with dumb shit like sniper rifles and a big minigun, and a fuck off tank to go to the shops in. But I digress...

Its not just the dogs fault, its the shitheads who keep this up. What is it about dysfunctional women and getting a dangerous dog from a rescue?! Is the next fad them getting super venomous snakes that are really angry as pets? fuck cats, lets adopted a cute lion, that seems safe to leave with the little ones, lion king said so.

Pitbulls were bred for blood sports, to fight other dogs to the death, they were deliberately bred to have high gameness, high prey drive, and to attack without warning. They originally came from bull-baiting dogs, animals that had to be pretty much fearless to go after a 1000 lb angry bull and to hold it by the snout.

It's not just pit moms, it's tough guys, it's the wannabe thugs, it's the bleeding hearts, it's backyard breeders, it's the no-kill-shelters, it's the people trying to downplay or lie about the dogs' dangerous tendencies, and it's the people trying to spin pit bull hate into a social justice issue. It's all of these people and more.

Pits were a rare breed before the 90s. Usually they were the products of a dogfighting operation or employed by thugs trying to guard a stash of drugs or to use against cops. Nowadays people think they can 'love' the bad breeding and aggressive tendencies out of them and almost always act shocked when the pit bull they took in ends up being true to it's breeding and ends up killing someone or a pet.

With your comment on the reason it seems to be some women who had bad upbringing that adopts these murder mutts, is that while growing up, they were 'taught' to down play, ignore, or sympathize with a family member or man who displayed abusive or criminal behavior, and ignoring their own feelings or their own welfare to 'be nice' and 'not rock the boat,' or even to feel sorry for them (the 'they had/have it so hard' narrative.) These are the type that may suck up the 'bad boy' or 'he's just misunderstood' narratives and go for the jailbirds, personality complexes and active druggies, feeling 'sorry' for them and thinking opening their hearts (and their legs) will change them. These then project their bad character judgment into dogs, ignoring the red flags or worrying behaviors and rationalizing them away.

An ancient bitch who needs to die and can't remember what her name is owns an inbred murder machine. Fucking shoot them both.
Saw a shitbull mommy in public the other day. Was wearing some garbage hoodie with "my shitbull is an angel" complete with angel wings and halo. I wanted to throw up.
And surprising no one, she was a dumpy ass white woman who probably fucks it.
