Kowabana seems to do that for Japanese stories she translates if I understand what your looking for.

I like Esoterica, Mr Mythos, Historicrat and Angela´s Symposium. They are not strictly horror but cover some of the spooky myths and lore from an academic angle

Here's some absolute garbage that's getting a hype-job. Shit pixel-art that looks like it took 5 minutes in MS Paint. Vapid, overly verbose storytelling with characters saying "I AM STUCK IN A VIDEO GAME!" with an awkward text overlay. Anime fight scenes. Tumblr-troon level art and storytelling around Sarah's introduction.

I don't know if I could say this "needlemOuse" is worse than Sonic.exe, but it sure as hell isn't better. I'd say it's lateral. Just as shit, but with an alternate set of ways to be shit. Hopefully this genre of analog horror gets a mercy kill sooner than later. I don't know if I can handle seeing another set of googly eyes and knowing there are people in this world shitting their pants at the sight.

If you think Needlemouse is bad, wait until you hear about the many Sonic.exe OCs people have been cooking up recently.

One that comes to mind is Pagan Valley, he's a less faggy and slightly better Night Mind. Plus he isn't a furry so that makes him better.

Don't know if conspiracy channels count in a thread about horror, but the /x/ chart got me thinking about Richard D Hall and his videos on shit like Madeleine McCann, Jill Dando, Israel, UFOs, aliens on earth, etc. I like having them on as background noise.

Analog Horror is fucking laughable at it's current state. What used to be a fun little subgenre that derived from Found Footage movies has now been overridden by disgusting troons and people that believe that they are smarter than they actually are. Fuck Squimpus for creating the FNaF VHS to lure these aforementioned people in the first place, and for creating the tropes that bring down the entire genre in the first place. Fuck the internet for making sure that people that have no real knowledge about anything see what they want to see, instead of learning the subject matter and taking what is real, and making a judgement on their own. Fuck every shitty horror writer out there for creating this subgenre, and for keeping this shit alive in the first place. This subgenre is not going anywhere, and in the future, the whole genre by itself is going to be laughed at, like how we do now with Creepypasta. In a way, Creepypasta and Analog Horror are at the same place right now.

I'll just get my rant off the table, and hopefully the next reply to this thread that wants to write something like this will be more well-mannered.

I was really craving some more stuff in the vein of Gemini and went looking for it. Turns out the "analog horror" scene is something like a full on genre now. I'm still going through all of them, but one that seems to have flown under the radar is The SMILE Tapes.

I'm kind of surprised at how much I enjoyed the series. The creator has since ditched it because he feels its too "derivative" of other works, but I thought its approach worked fairly well and it was presented fairly well even if the basic idea has kinda been done before. There's also some underrated stuff in there, like I thought the Bill Clinton deepfake in part 2 looked pretty good and the VHS effects covered up imperfections in the fake. I dunno, maybe I'm just a sucker for epidemic stories. I'm still kind of shocked this came out and then just straight up ended before I even heard about it.

He's since started doing something called They Lie Above which seems to be based more on alien shit.

Its nothing super special if you ask me, but it does seem to be taking the slower approach to its buildup than the SMILE Tapes did so maybe just not much has happened yet. This one feels more derivative to me though, especially since it seems to have some similarities to the Monument Mythos.

I have my qualms with this guy, but these two videos are a great analysis of why modern horror and internet horror are what they are.

Great point, as someone who isn't against piracy and doesn't give a fuck about stealing from Nintendo those creepypasta anti piracy videos never caught my interest. They only reminded me of those Nintendo white knights who show up in droves sperging out whenever someone mentions emulation.

I remember Plagued Moth coming on my radar when he made his cameo on Wendigoon, looking up his channel, not liking his personality or content, and checking out. I had forgotten all about him until I started reading this thread and hot damn, what a MASSIVE CREEP. I peeped a few of his more recent videos like the Amber Alert one and I am right there with you all, it's obvious that enjoys gore a little too much even if you don't know about his fucked up discord kids club.
