funnily enough the definition is a bit lengthy but thats the general idea i guess?


i will never understand the "fiction=reality" type stuff, to an extent if you're into some weird borderline fetish-y shit i think that stuff should be kept behind closed doors or somewhere close on a personal level so that you don't have people rioting about it

If someone likes Nazi-inspired media, does this make them Nazi with that fiction=reality logic? When JRR Tolkien wrote LOTR, Middle Earth became real because fiction affects reality?
The "fiction affects reality" mindset is very unhealthy, almost delusional. It's the same as elderly people claiming that violent video games cause violence but it's actually the other way around: reality affects fiction. If you look at the famous fictional works, you'd see that they were inspired by real things (tales etc.), hence affected by reality.
Fiction does affect reality in turn. For example, The Sorrows of Young Werther led youth suicides, young men committed suicide in a similar way in the novel.
But, reality affected fiction first.

Cats can enjoy milk products exactly same as any lactose intolerant person. Keeping the amounts small and infrequent, picking lactose free or fermented milk products like sour cream, yogurt or cheese that loose most of their lactose in the process.

It's a pretty shitty argument when your example doesn't even hold true.

Rats will eat cheese, but they'll also eat pretty much anything.

This is a “proship” argument when you think about it for more than 2 seconds, but we know twitter users with neopronouns tend to lack critical thinking skills.

You give your lactose-intolerant cat a ton of milk. You saw Tom from Tom and Jerry drinking milk, after all. Who are we going to blame if the cat gets sick from drinking too much milk? The animators of Tom and Jerry? The writers of Tom and Jerry? Or the cat’s owner, who has not researched their cat’s diet?

Also - "Jaws" influenced how people perceive sharks.

There are/were barely any Jews in Japan but antisemitism spiked there due to the popularization of Shakespear's "Merchant of Venice".

Also - the whole idea of propaganda art. It's fiction with a tremendous impact on reality.

I think people tend to forget that art and storytelling has always been made to influence people and their behaviour - teach us morality and what is accepted and what is not. Now a lot of people deny it just because they get their kicks from fucked up content. Even if something doesn't influence a person per se, the media they consume/create are a great mirror of societal tropes and their own views and/or vices.
