I've honestly never understood why people ever click on A&H. If someone wants to get angry about current events just watch the news or use Twitter; it's way better to get angry about completely mundane topics like the concept of weightlifting, or people who spend too much money on guitars.

Plus if you're looking to expand your horizons reading the OT section and community tags of the lolcow salon is the way to go. Hearing middle aged women discuss dolls, knitting, and their weird slightly gross experiences with pregnancy is infinitely more enlightening than hearing hopped up weirdos on the internet scream at each other about globohomo or whatever.

People come to A&H to discuss, debate, and bitch about something that might have actual real world consequences on them. You will find that people try to be more eloquent when not shitposting.

It's likely that the non-a&h posters are just as if not more smart, as they know when to engage with politics and when to lol.
