the singing revolution was pretty based thoughLatvia prided itself for their volunteer SS forces. They didn’t want the commies but they were forced too. What that in mind the USSR tried their best to push them down. So probably a shithole nowadays.
I thought Baltic people we're supposed to be like turbo-atheist, yet simultaneously super against gay marriage?Baltic states are like countries with all the default settings on. Economies aren't powerhouses, but the countries can get by. People aren't particularly politically extremist. No weird natural hazards. People are neither particularly religious nor very atheistic. Weird gay neighbors across the sea (Scandinavia). Creepy ex being creepy (Russia). Ex's best friend doing their dirty work but pretending to be nice otherwise (Belarus).

christianity ended there in the 1920s when the christian germans were stabbed in the back. but there are still some catholics left.I thought Baltic people we're supposed to be like turbo-atheist, yet simultaneously super against gay marriage?
I know a lot of other Eastern European countries became pretty religious, after the fall of the Soviet Union and Communism in Eastern Europe. I just heard that the Baltic states were an exception to thisUSSR enforced atheism, so it depends on when the data was sampled I guess. Eastern European countries aren't huge fans of gay marriage in general.
Japan was the only country to invent yaoi anime so idk bossAny country that isn't the United States of Based America or Japan is automatically a faggoy-infested shithole, so yeah, it is a shithole
