Crime Gunman at a Texas elementary school kills 19 students and two adults before being fatally shot, officials say - yeehaw

(CNN)A suspect is in custody after a shooting incident at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, left at least two dead and injured 14 people, including students, authorities said.

The Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District (UCISD) posted about an "active shooter" at Robb Elementary at 12:17 p.m. local time and said law enforcement was on site.

The suspect was taken into custody as of 1:06 p.m. local time, according to the Uvalde Police Department.
Two have died after the shooting at Robb Elementary School, a spokesperson from Uvalde Memorial Hospital told CNN.

The hospital received 13 children at their facility who were being treated for varying injuries, he said. Two children were transported to San Antonio and another is pending transfer, Tom Nordwick said.

Additionally, two patients were dead on arrival, he said. Nordwick was not sure of the ages of the two deceased. A man in his 40s was also being treated there, he said.

Nordwick did not have conditions on any of the victims.

Depends on the country but directly, I doubt it. If you're in the US importing a gun then you'll need to obtain an import permit from the government. If you're in a nation that has strict gun laws, good luck.

That makes me wonder why Aaron Katersky briefly referenced a report mentioning an issue with Immigration for some reason when he broke the story early. I'm sure it has to do with the very initial confusion, but reports like that have to have at least a semblance of underlying truth in them, right?

Anyway this is definitely another case of the mentally ill going untreated until they explode. Lanza shot up an elementary school likely because he thought he was saving children by killing them. I imagine this shooting will have a similar motive.
This will keep happening because most people can't get affordable treatment for physical ailments in America, let alone mental ones. A gun is way more affordable to a schizo than seeing a psych.

Lets say you have the uber Thanos gauntlet with six million gemstones that in one snap vaporizes all guns and ammo. What's stopping me from taking a pipe, filling with gunpowder and lighting it with a lead ball inside? Whats stopping me from taking a dead cow's tendon and tying it up a tree branch to launch a pointy stick at someone's torso? Heck, London has all the guns with the govt, yet people stab each other all the time with even sharpened rebar.

Besides, if all gun violence is people using it to protect their loved ones, is it good or bad violence? What a fucking retarded take.

No, not really. Bad people are going to do bad things, regardless of how you control things. You could come up with a solution that everybody agrees on, but a criminal will never care.

At one point, under Obama it probably was true. But we've had many mass shootings since then, and it's pretty clear that there really isn't any political will to do anything about it from the dems.

We already ban lots of people, like felons, from owning guns. Guess how many gun crimes are committed by felons with guns? There's only so much you can regulate.

This was during the mid-90s in a very rural town, so there weren't the bulletproof doors behind a metal detector like there are in a lot of places now, but a secretary did see him walking towards the building with the gun and had enough time to give this bizarre announcement that had our teacher shutting off the lights, blocking the door, moving down the blinds, then keeping us away from the windows. That was back in the day, before drills and practice lockdowns, even before Columbine. We went from being dumdum kids laughing about stolen money and how seriously it was being taken, maybe curious who did it, to holding hands and praying and puking because we were scared but trying to do it as quietly as possible because you're stuck hiding in place, frozen like fawns. Now, kids know immediately what it is, even first graders hear something strange or loud in their school and immediately know that a grownup or an older kid has come and they want to kill them, maybe with bombs, maybe with guns powerful enough to tear them apart. And I kept wondering about those teachers, how many off them heard the first sounds and steeled themselves for the possibility of dying for the children they've been entrusted to, and if they mentally prepared for this day.

I heard during Sandy Hook, one of the younger kids' teachers kept saying "I love you" because she was panicking and wanted it to be the last thing her class heard if they all got shot into the hereafter.

Fuck everybody, man. Fuck the mean spirits who murder children, fuck the people who stan them on social media, fuck the friends and relatives of nutjobs who give them access to any kind of weapon but especially the most efficient ones, and fuck anyone who saw this coming and didn't do shit about it.

But whatever. I sincerely hope that y'all fags here are not getting too enmeshed in the news, that nobody you know was affected by this assholery, and that your own kids haven't been frightened by it.

If this dude were lily-white and named John Clayton, his name and face would be plastered all over the goddamn news. Instead, because he's a spic, we have news outlets outright refusing to say his name, leaving it to be revealed hours later. Notice how they did the exact same fucking thing with the Waukesha SUV attacker.
