Crime Gunman at a Texas elementary school kills 19 students and two adults before being fatally shot, officials say - yeehaw

(CNN)A suspect is in custody after a shooting incident at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, left at least two dead and injured 14 people, including students, authorities said.

The Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District (UCISD) posted about an "active shooter" at Robb Elementary at 12:17 p.m. local time and said law enforcement was on site.

The suspect was taken into custody as of 1:06 p.m. local time, according to the Uvalde Police Department.
Two have died after the shooting at Robb Elementary School, a spokesperson from Uvalde Memorial Hospital told CNN.

The hospital received 13 children at their facility who were being treated for varying injuries, he said. Two children were transported to San Antonio and another is pending transfer, Tom Nordwick said.

Additionally, two patients were dead on arrival, he said. Nordwick was not sure of the ages of the two deceased. A man in his 40s was also being treated there, he said.

Nordwick did not have conditions on any of the victims.

Two of those children, a boy and a girl, were dead on arrival. IMO, it's allowing people the right to legally defend themselves regardless of location. Mass confiscation works, but people find other ways to do these things, whether it's mass stabbings, cars, or killing multiple people with a crossbow. Give these fucking losers something to be afraid of instead of knowing they are going to walk into an unarmed populace and be able to smoke them. Guns are tools and until the government wants to actually take steps to improve socioeconomic conditions to drive this shit down, it's going to keep happening, so strap up and be prepared, because red or blue, neither side wants to actually help.

Children are given extraordinary regard in medical circumstances and nearly all will transport to the hospital even if they appear to be dead. Only at the hospital will they be declared dead.

These are not shootings but some kids have fallen through the ice into a frozen lake and been revived half an hour after they were technically dead. Others have had glass puncture their heart and die twice while being worked on by EMTs only to make a full recovery.

Their bodies may be fragile but their youth makes them able to recover from stuff that can kill normal adults.

This was posted early on in the thread. If true, I feel for this girl and hope that no one jumps down her throat making baseless assumptions. There is no way that she could have stopped him, she had no idea who this was and I doubt that she would have been able to contact the police in time. She was just a random person that the shooter tried to drag into his bs. She shouldn't blame herself for what happened but shit...she must feel so awful.
