Today was the first time I saw the same smirking arrogance that she showed during her deposition, while the Hicksville guy was on the stand. I can't really understand why, because his testimony directly contradicted one of her tales of woe...I think it was a PP who said something like the jury consider that if someone is proven to be lying about one part of their testimony, then it can be reasonably assumed that they're lying about all of it? Something along those lines anyway.

She's been caught in a bunch of lies, but that one is a doozy.

Yeah, she has, but most of them struck me as more of the gaslighting variety, if you know what I mean.
'that was you and JD talking about your birthday incident and coachella, wasn't it.'
'no. Johnny was talking about it, I wasn't'. And so on.

But this was someone with zero affiliation to any of them, directly saying 'bitch why you lyin' for?!'
And Elaine couldn't shake him at all. Fuckin gold.
:story:

Another thing is that for all JD is a fuck up, he holds his hands up to being a fuck up. At least on the things that there is evidence of. She has to fight on every single point, even the most minor ones. She takes no accountability for anything at all, ever. It's everyone else who is wrong. The jury must have noticed that.

Edit coz I've already double posted and I don't want to get the rope.

TMZ have filed an emergency motion to block an ex-employer testifying about who gave them the kitchen video. Please, for the love of all that is sacred, let it be denied and he is allowed to appear 🙏
(fuxsake, it won't let me upload the docs, I'll try again innabit)

@mindlessobserver and have you noticed that most of her stories are about him getting jealous over other women? Apart from Franco (sex addict who she filmed with before Depp) and Billy-Bob (who she was fucking before Depp).
She was cucking him with half of Hollywood anyway, the ones that he didn't cop onto. Pure public humiliation. Ugh.

That's the most baffling thing. She's been caught in lies over petty shit that does not matter, like what started the fight at Hicksville. She could have just said it started because she did not like how Johnny was flirting with the innkeeper and then said "he overreacted". Instead she concocted this zany story about Johnny getting mad because her friend was flirting with her!

It's amazing. Even when it is not in her interests she has to be the center of attention.

the reason she keeps talking about him getting jealous over other women is sympathy points. It's manipulation. She wants to imply she's innocent because at the time she was with a man and because she's playing up the innocent and naive angle instead of depraved partier she's banking on the jury not understanding bisexuality and just assuming you switch back and forth, like 'it's preposterous she'd be cheating on him with a woman, he's super jealous over nothing'. She's simultaneously attempting to downplay any assumed cheating behavior that created jealousy by appealing to the concept that 'it doesn't count/it means less if it's another woman instead of another man', and finally she can sneak in a little bit of implication he might be homophobic.

Of course, according to her coworker her cheating on her spouse with another woman is a thing she did - and not just on Johnny - so he'd be right to be suspicious and jealous of her interacting with women.

"It doesn't matter that she used him as a punching back every single day, She is a Woman therefore she gets a free pass"
But being a woman doesn't automatically make you likeable? If anything, it default to being the opposite. One of my best friends is a violent drunk. Come in, man, with your false equivalencies.

Like "the little bit of implication" when she claimed he called her a dyke and his eyes bugged out and he mimed "Wow" when he heard her claim that.
Oh yes, I know she's directly accused him of homophobia and sexism too, but she's a manipulator, and that means she knows on some level that subtle and long-lasting implications are also important to convincing your audience of something. She's tried to cultivate an image of her being sweet and innocent and naive at every turn and Johnny being the homophobic sexist abuser. She cannot outright say "Johnny hates lesbians" because she was with a woman right before him, and just having him drop the word 'dyke' isn't going to convince the jury he's homophobic because he might just be saying cruel words to her, but if she establishes background noise of him being homophobic by overreacting every time she interacts with a woman then she can try to convince the jury of something nonsensical.

I think there are a few possibilities as to why she'd be smug about him.

1) Heard's lawyers have been pretty hung up on That Umbrella Guy, so tying the Hicksville guy to him may have meant to her that he'd been largely discredited.
2) Plus since he seems gay she might've figured it came across as though he was a Depp fanboy wanting to sleep with him or something, further messing with his image to the jury.
3) She may have viewed the guy as too far beneath her since he ran a trailer place for glamping. It wasn't a Hollywood big shot or a university professor, but rather a regular guy.

In reality, Heard's lawyers failed pretty miserably at making him seem really biased and all their questioning and stuff about the Elon tweet made him seem exceedingly ordinary and thus more believable as a random witness. I'm not sure, but it sounds like Heard had been claiming some big ridiculous fight happened there, so it also really cut into that story to have the Hicksville guy mention how they didn't even need to charge a "piggy fee".

It's hard to imagine what sort of headspace Heard is in, but considering she had some $20k a month wine habit I'm not sure she's used to taking regular people seriously.

I want to say her smile really started when he started describing her abuse of Johnny and the damage of the trailer, she certainly smirked hard and talked so openly to her lawyer I think a good lipreader would have a fair chance of guessing what she was saying. The feed I watched didn't have her in view constantly though, so I can't be sure if she was smirking before that or if she's really such a narcissistic psycho that remembering her abuse of Johnny and how he deserved it caused her to forget to be a victim, or if it was some other thing. Regardless I feel like Amber forgot she's supposed to be a victim and this man was allegedly claiming she lied about one of her worst experiences.

It's almost like Amber thought she scored a knock-out in court earlier when she did her little celebration, missed the jury being unimpressed with her, and thought she was doing well the rest of the day while she was actually getting thumped.

Bull fucking shit, the only reason that Johnny is even capable of fighting back against Herd's Defamation is because he has an endless set of coffers to hire lawyers for, if these were two middle class people Johnny would have had to move because the community would have turned against him.

I don't even fucking LIKE Johnny Depp, I think he is overrated as fuck and is only "popular" because basic bitches who think liking a Nirvana song makes them deep get off thinking about him.

However Herd seems to be an insane, cheating, abusive, drugged up cunt and deserves having her shit aired because she tried to air half of it in order to get an extra million dollars for playing a vegetable in Aquaman 2 : Nobody give a shit about DC movies why are they making this crap?

Kind of wonder if it was a smirk about somebody reminding Johnny of what she did to him.

I think at that time Heard's lawyer was objecting constantly because he was mentioning speaking to a maid at the place. There were so many objections they ended up objecting to the question about how he even came into contact with Depp's lawyers.

I'd like to take this moment also to say...it appears I was right about Amber and Aquaman. "I got fired and had to work my way back into the film" is just too convenient, because it's the only thing Amber has going for her, and she wants to somehow convince the jury she had damages. She didn't intend for it to be a 'victory' for the fans like people took it to be, she just wanted it to look like Johnny defamed her and harmed her business. the WB DCEU prez shut that down. She wanted to say that her role in the film will be small because of Johnny but the truth is it was never going to be any bigger, and completely independent of anything to do with Johnny they almost recast her for that minimal role based on chemistry reasons.

It was kind of amusing that Elaine wanted to try to imply that there is never chemistry between costars and that movies always have to be edited to make it look like they have any. As if he didn't just say that there's always a varying amount but with Amber and Jason it was so little they thought it was possibly too much effort to cover for it. And the push that because someone told Amber some positive encouragement that she 'tested well' that meant all audiences loved Amber and Mera and that had to mean advancing her career - and not that the person was just being positive to an actress on her first big role.
