Crime Gunman at a Texas elementary school kills 19 students and two adults before being fatally shot, officials say - yeehaw

(CNN)A suspect is in custody after a shooting incident at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, left at least two dead and injured 14 people, including students, authorities said.

The Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District (UCISD) posted about an "active shooter" at Robb Elementary at 12:17 p.m. local time and said law enforcement was on site.

The suspect was taken into custody as of 1:06 p.m. local time, according to the Uvalde Police Department.
Two have died after the shooting at Robb Elementary School, a spokesperson from Uvalde Memorial Hospital told CNN.

The hospital received 13 children at their facility who were being treated for varying injuries, he said. Two children were transported to San Antonio and another is pending transfer, Tom Nordwick said.

Additionally, two patients were dead on arrival, he said. Nordwick was not sure of the ages of the two deceased. A man in his 40s was also being treated there, he said.

Nordwick did not have conditions on any of the victims.

This is a good argument against people who say that gun control will stop homicides. Less so with regard to school shootings.

School shooters do not obtain guns in the same manner that mexican gangbangers do. The overwhelming majority either get them legally or steal them from a family member who obtained them legally. Sometimes a straw buyer (columbine involved this). It is entirely conceivable that some of the dumb\autistic fucks that decide to shoot up schools would not be able to do so, or do so as efficiently, without the proliferation of legal firearms in civilian hands. That newton creep was a great example. The little twerp couldn't even touch grass but, because mommy had AR-15s, so did he.

Note: I'm not suggesting that this means guns should be banned. I accept that having individual rights of all types tends to decrease security. But I also recognize that there are policy choices on guns that could effect this phenomenon, even if I disagree with them.

Notably, the standard talking points about "universal background checks" and "assault weapon bans" will do fuck-all but the mainstream left knows that it's the only thing they can trot out there without everyone seeing what they really want to do.

Unlike the conspiritards who seem to think the government makes these mass shooters. I don't think they do or need to. There are enough mentally ill people in a population to have this kind of thing happen without needing to create one to do it. I think they just sit back and let it happen. Not saying this is the case with this one but plenty of these mass shooters were reported and known to be problematic people. All the government agencies have to do is not do much. Just let them go off and shoot up a school or some other place. Then we will go around and talk about how we need tighter restrictions on guns.

It's funny how we haven't had a mass shooting like this in a year or more, since the election was over but just 5 months away from a midterm and we get two mass shootings in one month. One racially motivated and the other the details are still up in the air.
