It’s so magical that you now have amusement park theme rides that are so expensive that not even regular, normal families can even afford to ride them and have fun. Instead, they’ve been replaced with irregular and abnormal people that don’t have any families of their own.
that's what that is?...oh *sigh* truly the magic is gone from the kingdom. only dust now. ohhh and by the way...do you wanna see what a GOOD reboot of Rescue Rangers would have looked like?

Back in the day, I always thought that they were talking about the "Fresh Prince" at the time stamp, because I watched both shows at about the same time XD.

That actually reminds me of a joke...

"How do you find Will Smith in the snow?"
Say something about his ugly bald-ass scientologist wife. He'll jump out of the snow to hit you.

All boxy and angular?

Oh Uncle Phil, I'm only glad you didn't live to see this.

Worth noting that the DuckTales team had to fight tooth and nail to get this cameo and that it had to happen the way it did because of the stupid movie that was already well into production by then. They didn't have any trouble integrating Darkwing Duck from the start, or the TaleSpin episode that was also in season 3 (not to mention Don Carnage as a reoccurring villain in the previous two seasons) . Hell they name drop Cape Suzette in previous seasons, and it was all done with respect because the creators of DuckTales 2017 made a product for fans of the 87 series, by fans of the 87 series.

So of course they canceled it after just 3 seasons, right after dropping the big bombshell about Webby and introducing May and June into a mainstream animated series.

OMG, is it me, or does that Rescue Rangers "movie" look like Roger Rabbit, if remade by Friedberg and Seltzer. You know, the two unfunny clowns who make pop culture themed "spoof films", such as Epic Movie, Date Movie, etc?

It was bad enough Space Jam 2 felt like a junior kiddy version of a Seltzerberg spoof film. It is sad Disney is also going that route.

What a world we live in. (facepalms)

LOLWUT?!

How was there no big blowout from the fans from this? That's like if SEGA decided to ax a Sonic Mania sequel during production, there would be blood baths on street corners.

I watched all of season 1 and 2 on YouTube and it's basically one of the VERY FEW new animated series I genuinely enjoyed.

I wish Disney would remake some of their failed past movies. I get that there's more risk and remaking successful movies is far more safe, but I think there's an audience who'd love to see Treasure Planet, Atlantis, The Black Cauldron, etc have a second chance at life.
Here me out.

A completely woke remake of song of the south just to piss of Null.

Yeah I was super upset that this happened. I know I should be grateful that they at least got to bring Della home from the moon, incorporate her into anything for the first time, and do some of the cool things that they did. But it's still so super frustrating because this was the one reboot that didn't treat the original fans like shit.

And that's precisely why it was canceled. Can't have works that genuinely please fans of the original, cuz those fans are manbaby chuds who don't deserve anything nice! It's more profitable to make fun of them and the stuff they enjoyed while shoving woke politics down our throats! Although, then again, 'tis better to die a hero than to live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

Funnily enough, Tad Stones was involved with an animated film based on Brer Rabbit back in the 00s. It was based on the stories, had an all-black cast and went direct-to-video...
You just unlocked an memory I forgot I even had. I remember liking this movie quite a bit too when I was a young'in. Might have to give it a re-watch to see if it's held up.

It’s sadly because from what I dug up it looks like they didn’t get the spin off show, they wanted to do (it was Darkwing Duck) which this in the hand of Seth Rogen last I headed
video about TMNT but it mentions the Darkwing Duck stuff.

So the teaser for the new Willow show on Disney+ came out:

As a lifelong fan of the original Ron Howard movie, my initial excitement was quickly dulled.

Wow that’s a lot of main characters. And in the last group shot, Willow is tucked away in the corner.

Fucking calling it now: poor Warwick Davis’ character will be killed off very early if not in episode 1. The show is using the “Willow” name just to cash in on nostalgia.

It looks NOTHING like the world that Ron Howard and George Lucas created. Couldn’t they have at least tried?

Also: LOL at Elora Danan (the grown up baby from the original movie) no longer being a red head. Hollywood fucking hates redheads. If they could have, they would have re-cast her as a POC. The studio must have been seething over the fact that they couldn’t really race-swap her hahahahah

At least Jazz wouldn't be throwed out of the house by Uncle Phil but Will will still throw him out. :story:

Btw, there's one more hidden skeleton found in Disney's closet.

Disney snared in a SoCal corruption scandal, trying to 'influence public policy'

By Monica Showalter

We all know Disney, the cuddly entertainment company that has brought us countless hours of entertainment in film, swag, parks, resorts, and tie-ins for kids.
When the company got into an altercation with the governor of Florida over its opposition to a state law prohibiting the grooming of grade-school children in classrooms last month, Creepy Joe Biden rushed to the company's defense, claiming that Republicans were "going after Mickey Mouse."
After all, the "Mouse," as the company is known, is supposedly squeaky adorable.
That isn't washing much any more, though. Disney's been caught in a new scandal, this time in Anaheim, one that's nasty enough to make one conclude that the Mouse is more like a sewer rat.
Get a load of this hard-bitten news from the Wall Street Journal (subscription required):
The Walt Disney Co. has become entangled in a corruption scandal unfolding in Anaheim, the southern California city where its Disneyland Resort is based, that this week prompted its mayor to resign.
In an affidavit filed in a California federal court, federal investigators describe a “cabal” of business leaders and elected officials in Anaheim who allegedly meet privately to influence public policy decisions.
The reporters, Robbie Whelan and Christine Mai-Duc, described how Disney turned up in a 100-page affidavit identified as "Company A," which their source says is Disney, and the point person is Carrie Nocella, Disneyland Resorts' chief of external affairs. The reporters noted that neither had been accused of wrongdoing.
But the picture painted is pretty gamy.
The affidavit, released publicly last week, was filed in support of an arrest warrant for Todd Ament, former president and chief executive of the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Ament allegedly lied on a mortgage application and embezzled funds from the chamber to help him qualify for a loan for a vacation home at a California ski resort, the affidavit says.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation alleges that Ms. Nocella was a “ringleader” of a group that organized a retreat on the same resort property that includes Disneyland and hosted business leaders as well as members of the Anaheim City Council.

The problem was this:
In March of 2021, an Anaheim City Council member read from a script at a council meeting in favor of issuing more than $200 million in municipal bond debt to help make up for pandemic-related revenue shortfalls.
The script, according to the FBI affidavit, was written by an unnamed political consultant who did work for Disney, with input from Ms. Nocella. Later, the consultant asked the city council member’s office to edit the script so that it wouldn’t mention a Disney-owned parking facility, according to the affidavit.
Which sounds pretty underhanded.
The mayor of Anaheim, Harry Sidhu, who has since resigned as of May 24, also was under FBI investigation for leveraging the $320 million sale of Angels stadium to the team's owner in exchange for a big campaign contribution. Sidhu was a Republican, but prominent Democrat operative Melahat Rafiei was also implicated as were others. The unnamed political consultant who advised Disney played "a key role," according to the Journal.
Seems like sweetheart deals were expected. The Journal quotes an academic expert as saying that:
Anaheim is “a company town and Disney has a tremendous amount of sway in Anaheim politics,” said Fred Smoller, associate professor of politics at Chapman University in Orange County, Calif. “They are a major player, and they are not shy about using their influence to garner favors.”
So Disney has been accused of self-dealing behind the scenes and it doesn't look good for them. It's worth looking at as a matter of public interest, though, because Disney was caught in loudly trying to influence public policy in Florida earlier:
According to CNBC:
After Gov. Ron DeSantis signed Florida’s so-called “Don’t Say Gay” bill into law on Monday, the Walt Disney Company condemned the legislation and vowed to help have it repealed.

“Florida’s HB 1557, also known as the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill, should never have passed and should never have been signed into law,” the company said in a statement. “Our goal as a company is for this law to be repealed by the legislature or struck down in the courts, and we remain committed to supporting the national and state organizations working to achieve that.”
Which is also a bid to influence public policy.
Apparently, that is what they do - a crummy variety of big-city muscle politics with the purpose of looking out for Numbah One.
If they have corrupt collaborators, they use those, and if they don't have corrupt collaborators, they loudly go public.
What kind of a company is this? How does any of this strongarm wokester politics serve its shareholders? Why is it constantly trying to influence public policy, in matters big and small/ Shall we start calling them 'Big Rodent'?
More and more, it looks like Florida did exactly the right thing by slapping the company down and giving it the penalty of loss of its special tax status. If the company is capable of doing under-the-table dealings to influence public policy in Anaheim, it shouldn't be surprising that it's gotten it into its head that it can do over-the-table public policy influence, in Florida. Big Rodent has gotten a big head.

Remember when doug walker's characters from the skits in the lorax and cat in the hat reviews the chart guys where meant to be over the top satire of cooperate America? Well now the satire has become reality.
