Crime Gunman at a Texas elementary school kills 19 students and two adults before being fatally shot, officials say - yeehaw

(CNN)A suspect is in custody after a shooting incident at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, left at least two dead and injured 14 people, including students, authorities said.

The Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District (UCISD) posted about an "active shooter" at Robb Elementary at 12:17 p.m. local time and said law enforcement was on site.

The suspect was taken into custody as of 1:06 p.m. local time, according to the Uvalde Police Department.
Two have died after the shooting at Robb Elementary School, a spokesperson from Uvalde Memorial Hospital told CNN.

The hospital received 13 children at their facility who were being treated for varying injuries, he said. Two children were transported to San Antonio and another is pending transfer, Tom Nordwick said.

Additionally, two patients were dead on arrival, he said. Nordwick was not sure of the ages of the two deceased. A man in his 40s was also being treated there, he said.

Nordwick did not have conditions on any of the victims.

Does it feel to anyone else like this shooting has already fallen out of the news cycle when it hasn't even been twenty four hours? Pretty remarkable, especially when you consider the fact this took place at an elementary school. So this is how it works: If the shooter is an 18 year old white man who's target is elderly black people, that warrants wall to wall news coverage for a week. If the shooter is an 18 year old transsexual mestizo who's target is little children, that warrants a brief mention and then nothing.

It was predictable as soon as it came out that the shooter was Hispanic, doubly so because today is the anniversary of Saint Floyd of Fentanyls death.

Had it been a white shooter you'd be seeing very different levels of news coverage. Instead they must appease the witless masses craving more Floyd outrage but without the prop of the evil murderous white devil.

Keep in mind I got this information from a child but they said their teacher locked the classroom door, turned off the lights, and everyone lined up sitting against the wall with the door to stay out of sight being completely quiet.

Which is a nice drill, but of course things happen differently when there’s actually a crazy fuck in the school trying to take out whoever he can.

I think the drills are very good, and idk how i feel about telling them exactly what it's for. You dont want them becoming manic if the real thing happens, and you dont want them being nonchalant thinking it's something less serious.
But either way... the teachers should be able to conceal carry or to at least keep them in their desks. If that was just ALLOWED the school shootings would end overnight... I would guarantee it., Or at the very least the bodycounts would half.

On a sidenote, but a very important one in my opinion.
The shooter should have their entire history on blast, and the country should know exactly who this person was.
They wont even confirm the shooter's immigration status?

this is actually not true, at least in the state in which I live the police are being trained to directly engage the shooter as quickly as humanly possible because when you start shooting at them they do one of 3 things
1) run away
2) seek cover
3) start shooting back at you

Right, let’s let US schoolteachers, half of whom aren‘t even competent to teach, let alone act as armed guards, keep guns in their classrooms. In my convos with lefties there's a ton of fear and just lack of understanding of them too.

One kid I knew in college was fucking terrified of guns. Why? Because his mom's parents had been shot and killed by a hoodrat in an armed robbery. So, being idiots, his entire family became diehard liberals who opposed private gun ownership but supported bail reform policies for people like the guy who killed the grandparents.

Another girl had been held up by a gun, and understandably felt afraid. But she was held up by a handgun, so why does she spend all her time ranting about le ebil scary black rifle, considering rifles of all types are used in maybe 3% of gun murders?

And plenty of people just don't understand anything about them. You'd be amazed how many people I've talked to that think a gun will just go off shooting like crazy if you touch it wrong.
