Is Kharkov tank plant even in a condition where they could attempt to fix some? I didnt really read about the plant being attacked, guess Russians want to take it unscathed.

Kyiv and Lviv factories got hit, but IIRC not the one in Kharkiv. It's a big factory, but they were first dependent on Russian factories for most tank parts (they only made engines but after the fall of the USSR made tanks as well) so I don't know the viability of making new tanks there currently but my guess is that they can't due to a lack of raw materials and parts. No idea if the thing is in operation right now otherwise, given that if the Russians decide to, it gets destroyed and the UAF can't really do anything about it.

Probably repairing tanks and IFVs with whatever they can find though. IFVs especially since the factory seems to make a lot of those.

Obviously this thought is somewhat out of date, but is this whole renaming gimmick going to become common in the future, do you think? Every time there's a conflict between countries we're going to be told that we must now spell and pronounce the names of countries/places within those countries in the "native" fashion, rather than the way they've historically been Anglicised(Or equivalent for other languages)?

Hypothetically, if Russia were to invade Finland next; Will the media begin calling it "Suomi"?

Perhaps the Russia/The Ukraine thing is unique, however, as ostensibly the complaint is that the Anglicisation is based on the Russian pronunciation/spelling of a given place, rather than the Ukrainian one. I'm still calling it Kiev regardless.

I predict that the fall of Mauripol is going to have a fairly disastrous effect on Ukrainian morale. It was an important target that had a lot of media attention, and was manned by the media darling Azov Battalion who were sitting in an exceedingly defensibly position.

The loss of the place (In an embarrassing fashion due to the rotting cumpit leaving much of the wounded looking horrendous, coupled with the fact that Russia pretty much just waited them out) despite the purported advantage the Ukrainians held is likely to spark a wave of hopelessness in the armed forces.

There are English versions of most Polish cities. They're simply the same as the German ones.

Warsaw = Warsow/Warsau

Wroclaw = Breslow

Szczecin = Stettin

Krakow = Cracow

Gdansk = Danzig

Bydgoszcz = Bromberg

Stettin is referred to, by name, as such in the Iron Curtain speech yet Poles INSIST it must be spelt in their dumb letters
