Just stop. Body armor injuries are mostly correlated with light armor that's designed to stop pistol rounds. The moment a plate is introduced, that risk is almost totally averted. Plates only deform at the extreme ends of their capabilities, and they only deform slightly before failing. It doesn't push the plate 6in into the body like a pistol round would do to a light vest.

Your biggest concern with lvl III armor and higher is spalling, which is when the bullet disintegrates on impact with the armor and sprays lead and copper shrapnel in all directions (including up and into the neck). That's why most plates are coated with anti-spalling material which is the textured black coating that looks like truck bed liner.

A close range .45 pistol against a vest rated for pistol will probably break your ribs and damage organs. A close range 7.62 round against a plate will feel like you got punched in the midsection. Pistol vests are designed to save your life by preventing the bullet from entering your body, but doesn't mitigate impact injury. Plate carriers will allow you to be shot without removing your ability to continue fighting.

To add, spalling is only a problem with steel plates, not ceramics. Steel plates shouldn't be used as anything but targets, they're too heavy and dangerous to the wearer, no matter how much truck bed liner it's coated in.

If we can start another mass shooting cycle by continuing to broadcast this 24/7, the economy, shortages and the Mexican border can be ignored for weeks!!

If I were president, it wouldn't be popular but I would not make a speech every time someone shoots up a crowd of people.

I don't get how or why it became a thing in the first place. This was a single state incident caused by a local resident, therefore it should be that single state's issue, not something the President has to make the entire country aware of.

It is part of the major overall issue of federal intrusion into every aspect of our lives. We dont need to have the president weigh in on every local issue that occurs. We dont need every news break on the radio to tell us what the president us doing or saying. It didn't used to be this way (which can be said about almost everything sadly).

Don’t mind Stand. We’re dealing with someone who went into politics instead of cinema. If #ClintonBodyCount is indeed real, we’re talking about the plot of a movie that user would be gushing about. Hillary’s got the look after all (or at least I haven’t seen that many young photos of her so I guess one can assume she was a looker back in the day.)

Did y’all notice how the photographers started gathering as he stood there, defiantly gesticulating with his finger (and how he was mobbed by cameras as he was leaving)? All by design- optically, it should make for some good photos for his campaign for governor. Vote BETO! He’s empathetic, has a plan, and is mad as hell & not going to take this anymore! Not that it matters. TX is not voting democrat in November, and he’s already damaged goods *forever* in the state due to his “Hell Yes…” remark. This guy is excruciatingly past his sell-by date, yet neither he nor the dems can admit this.
