It's extreme hydrocephaly, advanced. The eyes are present but the skin is pulled up to accommodate the skull, the upper eyelids are stretched right up above the eye sockets. That's why you can't see any eyeballs.

They may be unable to access abortion there, I'm not sure. If that's so this must have been a terrible delivery. It looks like a young baby, to be that advanced in swelling it must have started before birth. If they had no access to ultrasound and other medical care they might not even have known until after the birth.

Medical access is bad in some places, pregnant women are not seen as priority. I do see that they've got a feeding tube (unsecured in some photos) so there must be some kind of doctoring involved.

The British kid- his optic nerves are swelling from the meninges or brain being bruised/swollen. The eyes of course aren't open, the optic nerve is swollen and has pushed the eyeballs forward, opening the lids with the pressure. Truly disgusting. Hope he dies easily and soon.

Yeah at least in the US, CPS shits itself and does nothing a vast majority of the time even when there's obvious abuse/neglect going on. If they actually get off their ass and remove a kid, let alone multiple, you fucked up likely to horrorcow levels.

Yep pretty much. Uk social services kill list includes several famous cases where they failed repeatedly to intervene. Baby P, Victoria climbie, there's just been another little boy murdered by his stepdad and a little girl called Star murdered by mother's sociopathic lesbian lover.
