Crime Gunman at a Texas elementary school kills 19 students and two adults before being fatally shot, officials say - yeehaw

(CNN)A suspect is in custody after a shooting incident at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, left at least two dead and injured 14 people, including students, authorities said.

The Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District (UCISD) posted about an "active shooter" at Robb Elementary at 12:17 p.m. local time and said law enforcement was on site.

The suspect was taken into custody as of 1:06 p.m. local time, according to the Uvalde Police Department.
Two have died after the shooting at Robb Elementary School, a spokesperson from Uvalde Memorial Hospital told CNN.

The hospital received 13 children at their facility who were being treated for varying injuries, he said. Two children were transported to San Antonio and another is pending transfer, Tom Nordwick said.

Additionally, two patients were dead on arrival, he said. Nordwick was not sure of the ages of the two deceased. A man in his 40s was also being treated there, he said.

Nordwick did not have conditions on any of the victims.

This is a developing story and will be updated.

The holocaust is a pretty big historical event in case you weren't aware. If your biggest issue with history in US education is that they don't teach enough of it then I fail to see how letting parents with their own biases and faulty memories teach it instead will help.
But it's not the ONLY historical event. Can you read? I'm not certain at this point. Maybe you don't like homeschooling because you couldn't do it?
Everyone has biases. Schools only teach one, and that one is chosen by the government and I don't like the government. Faulty memories? Are you saying parents homeschooling are teaching from memory? They use books, nigger.

You're not wrong, could just be my unfortunate anecdote. But I come from a fairly conservative area, so I've always assumed the rest of the country got it worse than I did.

I also agree with @Puff 's sentiment. I got high marks in a technical field, and I can safely say that my public education was effectively a waste of time. I cannot think of a single useful thing I got from public school that wasn't covered in a first semester college course too. So much time and tax money wasted to teach me nothing, some of which was actively harmful to me. It's hard to look past my own experience in this case.
Most of schooling isn't even for teaching you the specifics of chemistry, the biggest benefits are learning how to think critically. And yeah american schools aren't great for it but they're still better than a "A LARGE GROUP" of paranoid parents.

You say that as you put people like McConnell Abbot and DeSantis on the world stage. The south loves it's obstructionists as much as it loves Grits. You can't expect a state with more people than Canada or Australia to keep to itself. It's way more important the say, Alabama.
We obstruct you because the retardation of your policies is self-evident.

I can step outside in my Red state without stepping in used needles or human shit. I enjoy reasonable cost-of-living. If I am attacked by one of the Democrats' feral pets, I am allowed to defend myself. I don't have to dealcwith brownouts or drought.

We have no desire to be like you, but you cannot stand that; you insist on your cancer metastasizing.

Is flyoverstan perfect? Hell, no. But I'll take the problems of Red America over the unlivable hellscape that is Blue America.

No, that's why I trust the people who are rather than the gigatards who know even less than I do.
You can't be serious. I know for the most part public educators are less qualified than they were 13 years ago, and even back then many educators were merely straight by the book teachers, instead of well educated and "outside the box" thinkers. (or even heavily educated on the subjects they were teaching)

Most just peddled the most stereotypical copy-and-paste lines about any one subject and couldn't answer the most basic questions not outlined in the books. Some answers which were easily found or redirected to better suited books and sources of information on such simple answers. Next time you're in a History class ask them "Why did Hitler target the Jews." Dollars to donuts they'll shrug their shoulders or not even give an actual serious response. Let alone many kids in my class couldn't even read words that were more than two syllables and were being passed on. Trust the public educators eerily parallels trust the science rhetoric.
Meeting other kids, direct you to learn what you actually need to learn, teach you the methods to learn more effectively, help any kids who need it at any time.

Social skills are important I won't deny that, but "direct you to learn what you actually need to learn" is questionable at best. I remember in math I barely learned anything because of how whimsical the books and teachers were. It's funny too because I flunked math in my final year of high school but later on cheated for a friends dad in a college course teaching the same math I was in school for and passed his tests with flying colors... "Teach you methods to learn more effectively." ... I knew more than my teachers on many of the subjects they learned, and this isn't just some humble brag most of my teachers in just my school district alone were incompetent bar maybe three specific teachers and even they weren't teaching beyond their means nor were they able to help many of the less educated students.

From the stories I've heard from modern kids in schools it's only gotten worse with politics pushing, nonsensical diatribe being pushed, and removal of many social activities (some schools removed recess prior to Covid.)

Maybe you're in a district where that shit isn't happening and that's good, but it merely sounds like you're reading stereotypical worksheets of what teachers are supposed to do, and not what a majority of them are actually doing.

But it's not the ONLY historical event. Can you read? I'm not certain at this point. Maybe you don't like homeschooling because you couldn't do it?

There's no fucking oversight. No matter how well you're telling me that SOME parents can teach, the overwhelming majority is not capable of teaching on the same level as people who do it for a living. It's just not as good. Campaign for school reform rather than going full autist and deciding that the retards in the general masses can do better, faggot.

How to lose the entire Hispanic vote for democrats in decades in one single tweet, lol.
One drug addled nigger is worth more than 19 dead Hispanic children, two teachers and a Mexican granny.

Gracias Señor Obongo, muy bueno.

Weird how there were no columbine style school shootings back when the country was more conservative even though it had much more lax gun laws.
The market wasnt flooded with cheap, mass produced, high capacity firearms easily available to 18 year old internet addicted /pol/tards and wannabe revolutionaries either. Weird huh?

Have you ever learned any math beyond arithmetic? It's not something a teacher does for you. It's something you do in your head. I really don't even understand what you people think teachers do.

The AR platform has been on the civilian market since the early '60s, before it was adopted by the military.

You could also buy full giggle machine guns at the hardware store (with a tax stamp) up until 1986.

There's no fucking oversight.
Good. Fuck oversight.
No matter how well you're telling me that SOME parents can teach, the overwhelming majority is not capable of teaching on the same level as people who do it for a living.
Genetics determine intelligence. A group of ten parents teaching 15 kids (demographically you're not going to be homeschooling unless you have more than 1) should be able to rub together enough braincells to teach kids of roughly their intelligence (accounting for age).

Most of the arguments you have for why it's bad I think are good things.

Thoughts on Theodore Roosevelt, Sandra O'Conner, FDR, & Susan B Anthony being homeschooled?

Conservatives on abortion: "Protect the children!"
Conservatives on gun control: "To hell with the children. Save the guns!"
Between people going “think of the children” for the millionth time and my right to own guns, I’d choose the guns.

I’m also pro-choice, so no contradiction from me. That said, people need to be more responsible and use birth control more. I’d fully support subsidizing it if it meant less abortions.

The AR-15 was made in the 60s. And pretty much all firearms in the civilian market have always been mass produced. What are you fucking smoking? Not only could 18 year olds buy them back then, they could mail order them without a NICS check.

Semi auto's and automatic weapons have been available since the turn of the 20th century lmao. Though the Italian niggers behavioral issues started the cucking of cool gun ownership because of Chicago being a crime riddled shithole since ancient times.

Imagine needing to be taught basic human skills.
Yeah! Sad fucking reality innit? We've structured society in a way where families barely talk to each other and school is the best we have for learning this.
They really helped Salvador Ramos.
You realize most people aren't mass murderers? This was a kid who was living with his grandparents in abject poverty. Imagine if they had to be the ones to teach him too.
Lmfao. You can pass through school with almost all As just by believing everything you're told.
And you can pass homeschooling if your parents help you cheat, which they're probably more likely to do than teachers lol.
Have you ever learned any math beyond arithmetic? It's not something a teacher does for you. It's something you do in your head. I really don't even understand what you people think teachers do.

1) "Fuck oversight" so you're just a schizo who wants anyone to teach their kids anything so long as they pushed them out of their meat hole and fed them for a few years. Would you be okay with kids being taught that the nazis are back and that the only way to stop them is to go raise funds for planned parenthood? That's how I see the schizo Bible thumper parents we get.

2) "Genetics determine intelligence" Oh so YOU were homeschooled by retards. I'm sorry I have to stop talking to you then, it's just rude of me to knowingly insult someone who's actually this much of a brain dead tard.
Thoughts on Theodore Roosevelt, Sandra O'Conner, FDR, & Susan B Anthony being homeschooled?
Thoughts on the fact that you have 4 examples out of the thousands of American heroes from the past 300 years?
