This stream reminds me of how full of it most self defense gurus and videos are, usually supplying horrible information or useless gimmicks that will get you killed.
One of the very few I take seriously on youtube is John Correia, who owns Active Self Protection, and the legal side is obviously Andrew Branca.

Let's be honest, due to shit out of any of our control, any discussion about guns or gun safety or gun ownership or who should and shouldn't buy a gun is going to be political for a while now.
It spirals quickly and gets out of her control at a certain point. Guns are like abortion, religion etc, not something I or I imagine many others really wanna tune in to listen to a vtuber explain their deep thoughts on, since I already waste a lot of my other free time arguing with people online about those very topics. Pippa's politics talks are best kept schizo.

Real self defence:
  1. Do not get in trouble
  2. If you get in trouble, run away
  3. If you are in trouble and cannot run away, have a weapon
  4. If you are in trouble, cannot run away, and do not have a weapon, be in better physical shape than your opponent
  5. If the odds are stacked against you so badly... just give them what they want.

Well... it's a couple orders of magnitude less likely.

That being said, I feel that most murders involve a weapon. Going hand-to-hand would be difficult in that setting (See #3)
 
The only thing I need for self defense is my portable deranged neet yabbit. With extra messed up teeth functionality to cause infection to the perpetrator.
