California's legislature is in the works of passing that Texas style abortion law version again guns and also regulating most small business gun shops put of business across the state.

Newsom also brought up Ronald Reagan as inspiration as well lol.

Ceramics don't have to deal with spalling, but they do have to deal with only being good for 1-3 shots. It's not that difficult to shatter/crack your IV plates just by dropping them. The reason they're so effective is because the best way to dissipate that much energy in an instant requires the destruction of the armor. Most commercial steel plate tests involved dozens to hundreds of shots on the same plate.

If you're fighting a well funded military that can consistently field specialty or non-commercial ammunition, use ceramics.

If you're just worried about crackheads, get soft/stab proof concealable armor.

Every other scenario calls for AR500 steel plates.

I promise to stop armor sperging after this and I sincerely apologize for all the sidebar.

I think he's fake. Who writes "Marine Fire Team Members" in that context? People that don't know what a fire team is. He makes it sound like it's a special forces unit when it's just the subdivision of a squad into 4 man teams. Even the pogs get split up into fire teams while training.

The thing is, the Morning Consult poll is probably the better one there. Twice the standard sample size, sticking to registered voters, and asking a stock series of questions in a standard format on a regular basis. They have a fairly steep disproportion of Democrats to Republicans to Independents but besides that they are one of the more solid ones.

Looked it up, because Vyse is snarky and yeah, clearly overreach, but, even though I play one on the internet, I'm not a racist and don't like segregation. Enforced desegregation probably just pissed everyone off and set back race relations, but this far in the future, don't care. Army didn't kill anyone, so it kinda gets passed on for outrage.
South should've been allowed to go and persecuting a war on what are members of your federation for wanting to leave is fucked up is basically my position on the civil war. Further, punishing those members over a hundred years later is fucking disgusting.
Could've used the word "bussing" somewhere and I'd have got it.

There's no point in forcing a separatist nuisance to remain under your rule, other than being spiteful control freaks.

If they hate you and don't wanna be a part of you, kick them out. If they ask for help afterwards, tell them to go pound sand.

I know some will argue that that's segregation; I think of it as washing your hands of them. "You wanna separate? Bye, Felicia. You're not our problem anymore."

Yes, as I said they have a pretty steep bias towards Democrats but their methodology is otherwise the most solid there. 538 stops way short of where I would adjust to on all their polls, but that adjustment is needed. Provide a net shit of 6 and you are getting close to what I'd consider correct and Morning Consult is the most accurate there bias aside.

Whenever the possibility of a new civil war comes up in this thread, it's always taken as a given that we're discussing the Red states finally saying they've had enough and how far along we are towards getting to that point.

It's never that the left is going to kick it off by having a massive violent spergefest/chimpout in some hard blue city because they simply can't wait any longer for us to be replaced.

The new civil war? I honestly think it's going to be kicked off by antifa LARPing Catalonia somewhere, the Federal government doing jack shit as they commit atrocities, and then the Red states seeing that as weakness, decide to fuck off and do their own thing.
