Oh, that artist. Yeah, this is something I've wanted to write a post about for a long time, so here goes. This is sort of thrown together and most of the details are my memories from years ago when yukkuri shiteitte ne was entering Western Internet communities.
Yukkuri shiteitte ne (ゆっくりしていってね!!!) is a Japanese meme about some misshapen ASCII art on 2ch of Marisa Kirisame and Reimu Hakurei from Touhou saying "Yukkuri shiteitte ne", literally "do it slowly" but more accurately (and commonly) translated as "take it easy".
I don't think that this is exactly the original ASCII art, but it's a slightly improved recreation. Notice the lack of chin and nose and very widely spaced eyes.
This is a non-ASCII recreation of the ASCII art.The heads became known as "yukkuri" and the meme became incredibly widespread. Unlike the yukkuri themselves, the meme really had legs!
Yukkuri pictures were being made with original characters, both Touhou and non-Touhou.
(source)Let's call this variety of the meme Yukkuri Prime. Yukkuri Prime typically consist of a) 2 bodiless yukkuris (yes, this is a trait that is worth mentioning) b) floating in a white void c) looking directly at the viewer d) with a spiky dialogue box saying, "Take it easy!!!" above them. There may be some variations on these properties, but they'll usually have 2-3 of these traits. Not terribly degenerate or even interesting at this point.
Yukkuri continued to spread and also mutate. Soon they weren't just sitting in a white void yelling "Take it easy" at the viewer, they began moving around and talking, but they tended to retain the exact same, unchanging face and didn't say anything other than "Take it easy". Cartoony Yukkuri. Basically an extension of the super deformed trend in anime from a decade ago.
(source)There were also artists who didn't want to make yukkuri the focus of their pics, but they would put them in the background, just as a sort of joke or signature.
And then it started to go wrong
Some people started to make the yukkuri a little more realistic. They no longer float in a featureless void, they generally follow the laws of physics, they are capable of more than 4 facial expressions, and may even speak.

Not too degenerate yet. They are generally drawn to be cute, or they might be portrayed as the pets of their corresponding Touhou characters (or even as the pets of other Touhou characters). Sometimes they can be a bit saccharine, but still not a big deal.

So far all these pics from pixiv have been relatively recent, within the last month, but one of the granddaddies of the whole semi-realistic yukkuri was a guy named makako.

He didn't mean to, but he unintentionally helped create a totally degenerate yukkuri fanbase. He wasn't solely responsible, but he probably had the single most influence on this. His comics helped create a much more detailed and internally consistent yukkuri canon. Yukkuri are now sentient buns, can have bodies, live in the wild, and speak in babytalk.
This yukkuri canon resulted in yukkuri families, yukkuri babies, and yukkuri death.

That last category became a whole fucking community and, frankly, could probably sustain a community watch on its own. I actually tried to look for a less extreme picture of yukkuri death, but there is so much over-the-top pseudo-gore in that community that I just couldn't find one. But I didn't just bring this up because of the yukkuri gore. You see that little line at the bottom of that soon-to-be-squished yukkuri and the one with the babies growing from its forehead? That's a vulva. They've started drawing vulvas on their yukkuri. They've been drawing anuses on them for a while, but the vulva thing is a new thing that's started really spreading in the yukkuri guro community.
And that brings me to my final category of yukkuri art. The fucking porn. When I first saw it I assumed it was a joke, but there's so goddamn much of it, and entire fucking user pages full of this stuff. They're usually (but not always) the same people making the yukkuri gore, including the guy who made that FUMO fucking pic.

I'd also like to say, as someone who has seen way more than his share of guro and yukkuri art on pixiv, I have seen a guro artist do yukkuri maybe a dozen times, and almost never (possibly never) seen a real guro artist do yukkuri gore. The yukkuri gore community an absolutely insane and toxic community that even guro artists don't want to touch.

On the one hand, that's true. On the other hand, it's definitely become a lot more popular on pixiv in the last couple years. Also, the vulvas and buttholes are way more prevalent than they used to be, even non-abuse artists are drawing them nowadays.
Edit to avoid double-posting: This isn't strictly pixiv related, but it's the most degenerate thing that anyone's ever done with the yukkuri tag. Some YouTuber who is unaffiliated with Touhou or anything is trying to trademark the word "ゆっくり".
Hard to find details from a reliable English source, but here's a Twitter thread. Even ZUN, the creator of Touhou, seems to be concerned.

Well, I think I've found the most degenerate thing I've ever seen on pixiv. Dead bodies (archive). Now, that might not sound that bad compared to a lot of the other stuff we've seen, but these are actual, real dead bodies.
I'm not going to bother uploading most of the images here even though they will probably be removed soon since they probably violate even pixiv's terms of service. As degenerate as the pics are, they aren't that interesting, they're just crime scene photos of young, thin, dead Asian girls. Cause of death is unclear in any of them, but blood has started to pool. Four women total across 10 pics (4, 4, 1, and 1 pic each), no blood in any of these (except for the first woman who seems to have been having her period; I don't think that there was any rape in these since the first three women were wearing pants or underwear). The 11th photo is a closeup of some organ which I couldn't identify.

That organ is most likely a lung. The two white "dots" on the top right are actually the ribs that have been cut with a power tool. And you can see on the right some ribs as well. And since it's in the ribcage and it's not a heart, then it's a lung.

I know of a Korean artist who happens to draw abstract art of boys engaging in self harm or even being mutilated. They are really well done but the idea of doing it all the time questions the philosophy of the artist.
