Anglin is about 40 years old. He’s single. His movement(s) are dead. Nick is not far behind. These guys are never getting married, true sexuality aside. I bring this up just because I can tell, just from having followed the drama, that the anti-woman shit is actually really new. It’s totally apace with their dwindling chances at success. It’s like an abusive husband taking out his crappy job on his wife.
I actually wonder if there is any psychological study where people report greater animus toward the opposite sex the worse they feel about themselves. Because that’s just what it feels like. And we see the opposite within insecure women.
I can definitely see that with Anglin, given he has to resort to plowing hookers in third world countries to get off and has told his followers that the best way to reproduce is to have one night stands with women using perforated condoms. He seems to be self-aware enough to know that the wife and kids setup is never going to happen for him and projects that onto his audience Sort of an "if I can't pull it off then none of you can either" mentality.
With Nick, however, he did have at least one woman hit on him during a stream. Who knows how many wignat groupies have approached him over the years, at least before he became a dumpster fire. And in every female interaction he's had, minus family members and MTG, he flips out. In his case, I really do think he's just gay.
Returning to them it’s totally *un-optical* behavior. It doesn’t even make sense because white women were only a little behind men in voting for Trump this election. Politically the girls are pretty much there, and much further along than they were 4 years ago. You’d think white women cost him a second term the way they’re bitching and moaning about Females all the time.
I do think there’s behind the scenes handling going on. Because alienating women, for no reason, would set back a lot of progress in right wing messaging. Youngkin is Governor of Virginia because women didn’t want their kids being psychologically abused in Virginia Schools. So, shut it down.
It could be that these guys are trying to co-opt the Manosphere (MRA/MGTOW/Incel) spaces to try and add their ranks to the America First movement. #GamerGate had a lot of people in the Manosphere involved when it took off, so it's possible wignats saw the potential to induct a bunch of disaffected young men into their movements as well. This was an old tactic for the alt-right when it came to fringe groups.
Back during the 2016 election, Anglin, Cantwell, Ramzpaul, and other alt-right figures were encouraging their members to go into libertarian, anarchist, and conspiracy theorist organizations, co-opt them, then get them to be Trump voting wignats. I remember back then that libertarian groups like the Mises Institute and guys like Tom Woods were complaining about how their spaces were being flooded with wignat nonsense during this time period, and it was also when alt-right content creators saw explosive growth in their audiences.
It's true that, politically, appealing to incel weirdos makes no sense. It's not just un-optical, but these guys are recruiting mostly useless, terminally online, socially maladaptive NEETs. But I think we all agree that guys like Fuentes and Anglin aren't serious leaders of political movements, they're internet grifters trying to find easy and numerous marks. Considering these guys are the same kinds of people who could be persuaded to buy e-girl bathwater, they're the perfect marks for online grifting.
