Josh Duggar has been sentenced to 12 and a half years behind bars after being found guilty in his child porn trial ... TMZ has learned
Federal law enforcement sources say when Duggar is released from prison, he will be on 20 years of post release supervision. He was also ordered to pay a $50,100 fine.

SO close, they should have really rounded up and sentenced him to 18 years so that most recent baby would be of age when he gets out at least.

He has 20 years of supervised probation after his release with zero unsupervised contact with minors including his own children. He also can't access porn and needs specific permission to use a computer from his PO once released.

Technology's gonna be so different when he gets out, that gives me a little hope. It'll be harder for the chudster to sneak around the bad little boy filters and such meant to keep him from the "equally as bad as child murder porn" tiddy websites

I have no doubt that he'll have unrestrained access to kids and the internet when he gets out, because the law means nothing to these idiots, but this at least gives me hope

Duggar's lawyers asked the court to send him to prison for five years.

Thank God he got at least 12.

From 19 kids and counting to 12 years and counting. I hope he does all 12 and doesn’t get out on good behavior or other stupid shit.

You know he's going to play the "good little Christian" card and try to show everyone how sorry he is. Hope no one falls for it.

He can serve 85% of the sentence with good behavior, which is 11 of his 12.5 years.

And when he gets out, he will be on probation for 20 years. Terms of probation include no contact with minors, which means he can't move back in with Anna for nearly 18 years - until their youngest M Child #7 comes of age (and can't have any contact with any minor until 2054). He also can't use a computer without his POs permission.

One thing I've been wondering about is parole. Parole boards want to hear people talk about remorse for the crimes that they were convicted, which means full accountability. idk if NE Arkansas still has this model, but I know of cases there where pedos were repeatedly denied parole because they didn't want to fess up, even at the detriment of their freedom.

If Joshy's going to be spending all his dad's allowance to Anna on video calls, not only is he never going to adapt to life on the inside (where isolating yourself away from what you can't have ((freedom)) can keep you in purg for years), but he's going to be spoonfed his victim story by everyone and suicide would be a better option than admitting dead kid porn.

On the other hand, Anna's family is gay for jailhouse ministry and she grew up enmeshed in it *shudder* so she might try to make him "come to Jesus" and admit to his crime like everyone else they minister to. If not... Why, that would be hypocritical

There is no doubt in my mind Jim Bob knew Josh would continue to molest children, and also knew he was dumb and would eventually get caught. They knew whichever womb they sourced for him (to create more victims) would have to spend at least part of her married life visiting the hubs in prison — who better than Anna?

I think that's 4d chess, especially compared to the level of buffoonery the Duggars have shown themselves capable of. If they had that kind of foresight and executive functioning, they would've cleaned up the trail better back when this whole mess started, got the witnesses in line, and been more careful with everyone's testimony.

i know i asked already but why doesn't his dad just disown him? why did JB go to court and embarass himself interrupting the judge and trying to defend his son?
Because JB is probably also a sex pest and Josh is the only kid he cares about.

While it could be longer, Josh spending over a decade in federal prison is a great thing. Hopefully he gets some federal prison justice via sharpened toothbrush handle as well.
