This shouldn't be at all surprising because while working-class Hispanics have tended in the past to vote Democratic, the Democrats are now focusing on social justice bullshit that beaners couldn't give two shits about. You think they care about a troon? About the plights of men who can't wave their dicks around in women's restrooms and host drag queen story hours while dressed as a literal fucking demon and being a registered sex offender?
Det. Schrader here is wrong about the meaning of "well-regulated," and more importantly, the canon of statutory construction by which preambulatory language affects the interpretation of the language it is aimed at. The functional language is "shall not be infringed." "Well-regulated" refers to the "militia" itself, which was simply every able-bodied male capable of taking up arms, at a time when self-defense was the specific duty of every state and there was no standing army.
The general concept was that as an armed conflict approached, the state could simply call up the militia, and they'd already be armed and know how to use their weapons. This clearly wasn't practical in the long-term and is not really applicable to a modern society with a plethora of professional armed forces, but the intent remains the same even in the modern day. The Second Amendment clearly intends to protect an individual right to armed self-defense, even if the "militia" spoken of effectively no longer exists as such.
This is also incidentally a perfect counter-argument to the idea that the Second Amendment wasn't intended to give civilians access to "military" firearms, because it was actually fully intended that gun ownership, and specifically of the sort that would be used in the military, would be broad and cover anyone who could possibly end up in the military. The whole point is that a state needing to defend itself would need a lot of men with guns.
America has always been about freedom, property, and the tools to protect them yourself if the government is fucking up.
