I remember talking to a stranger about trans people briefly where the conversation ended with him proudly stating something like "even if we don't get it, that's what makes this country great. It's the land of the free." I understand calling out the lack of attention to places that either have no freedoms or do not have the same extent of freedoms, but I personally can see why even the maple leaf troon wants to talk about the U.S a lot. If this is a free country where we can do as we please with our bodies, why would something like "trans healthcare" or whatever not be accessible?
The problem of course is that they genuinely believe that convincing people to mutilate their bodies with life altering drugs should be easily accessible. A reminder that even the most schizo people who do implants that are insane often have to go to other countries that don't care as much because there comes a point you are doing harm to your body. You can only make your breasts so big in the U.S, but certain South American countries do not care for such limits. In my eyes, trans related care of any kind is pretty similar. Keffals should know himself considering he went to Thailand (? Fact check me on that) to finish his transition.
TLDR: The concern for trans people in America is only justified because we are considered "the land of the free" therefore, other places don't matter even though America already has restrictions on certain medical procedures.
