Crime Gunman at a Texas elementary school kills 19 students and two adults before being fatally shot, officials say - yeehaw

(CNN)A suspect is in custody after a shooting incident at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, left at least two dead and injured 14 people, including students, authorities said.

The Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District (UCISD) posted about an "active shooter" at Robb Elementary at 12:17 p.m. local time and said law enforcement was on site.

The suspect was taken into custody as of 1:06 p.m. local time, according to the Uvalde Police Department.
Two have died after the shooting at Robb Elementary School, a spokesperson from Uvalde Memorial Hospital told CNN.

The hospital received 13 children at their facility who were being treated for varying injuries, he said. Two children were transported to San Antonio and another is pending transfer, Tom Nordwick said.

Additionally, two patients were dead on arrival, he said. Nordwick was not sure of the ages of the two deceased. A man in his 40s was also being treated there, he said.

Nordwick did not have conditions on any of the victims.

This is a developing story and will be updated.

Of course the police would not let him "storm" the school.

He is too much of a fat fuck and would just eat all of the food in the school cafeteria, leaving nothing for Paco and Taco and Maria and Pablo and Mariella to eat.

Though I am amazed he would move his fatass anywhere outside a deep blue urban shithole.

If it's any solace, there's a really big chance that a solid half of those likes, if not more, are astroturfed bots. Twitter isn't the real world, both in terms of how large the user population is relative to the real world, and in terms of how many of them are actual people.

Can Trump expel this Judas from the Republican Party? Please?

Some dude’s hot take on guns. Cites gun laws from past centuries, but doesn’t acknowledge that past centuries were stricter on immigration. Also, populations were smaller then and they had a better justice system where they’d just execute the perpetrator quickly instead of letting them free or sit in death row for years on end. The video is missing important context. If the justice system weren’t so screwed up too, maybe less people would feel the need to carry guns around.

Thanks to this guy for proving the NRA isn't actually pro-gun

To summarize the video, he views it as the cops not having the right tools as like a "shield" as he mentions to take down the gunman who barricaded himself as its a small town police force unlike the NYPD or any of the big city police forces in Texas.
I listened to it and it's bullshit.

They needed special ammo and a shield?

I am guessing most cruisers have a patrol rifle. Sure, soft armor won't stop rifle rounds but you have to take some risk.

Two things I've not seen addressed on the armed teachers argument.
1) Teachers know the kids who may end up being victims personally, making it more likely they'll act than cops.
2) The teachers might have to act to save their own damned selves even if not willing to run into fire to save someone else.

Wasn’t it proposed in some state to arm the teachers?

The gun issue has to have become a class war between the rich and the rest of America at this point lol more than ever.

women are teachers and therefore should not carry a gun. women are easy to emotionally manipulate and they would end up shooting each other over petty arguements.

What about the massive amount of crossfire if every teacher had a gun??????

Very flashy...

I guess for forgot to mention that the incorporation doctrine, where the Bill of Rights being applied to the states, did not come into effect until 1870 with the passage Fourteenth Amendment.

He did not seem to mention Millier that can be argued both for and against 2A rights. Additionally, I am sure he provided a list of sources for his claims.

This is standard flashy video productions and rattling a bunch of points to make them seem impressive.

It’s only impressive to people that have a very limited understanding of history. He didn’t do nearly enough work in bringing up why some laws about guns would have worked for that time period. Also, most gun laws were made to keep darkies down, and now they are mainly used to keep the lower classes down. Gun control is pretty much class warfare these days, because the people advocating for more gun control usually live in very safe neighborhoods and/or can afford private security.
