People don't actually understand how we got here or that these identity categories have morphed. When you look at third gender categories like the Hirjas, it's not as simple as saying "that's the ancient Indian way of being gay". Men who fell/fall under third gender categories in cultures that have one were quite clearly not just gay, but faggots. This isn't the case where some burly bear with tons of muscle would fuck a dude then be declared a lady, the behavior traits people were identifying had to do with effeminacy. Hell, even the Athenian Greeks, who had pedarasty as a social pillar, still hated effeminate men! I don't think HSTS's should be coddled and accepted in their delusions any more than AGPs. But the modern left isn't able to understand the actual social construction of these identity categories or that they have evolved and changed over time. Trans is one box that you check, and then you have to pity them and help them and uplift them, because that's how you prove you're a good person. And anyone who doesn't is a bad person. The baseball one is interesting because the only place women have ever been close to men in performance is maybe pitching, which isn't about pure indicators of strength so much as timing and the ability to fake out the batter. The whole Jackie Mitchell thing is controversial because there's quite a few people who believe Ruth and Gehrig were told to strike out on purpose, or at the very least not hammer the ball straight back at her for fear of hurting her. The voiding of the contract is a myth, btw. These scientists also don't seem to realize that they aren't making an argument for letting trans women into sports, but rather desegregating sports entirely.
