My opinion comes from interacting with mods, honestly. A lot of mods will slap you with a short ban cause they found your joke offensive, and perma-bans are given even though you don't really have a history of abuse and can be a one-off post. A lot of it isn't even playful or fun, just a random mod bans you because they are pathetic and power hungry.

'Rightoid purges' don't mind me, but I've seen how it can be a slippery slope. Something ticks in a headmod's brain, be it an event or overdose induced brain trauma, and they just decide to knock it up a notch. Who knows, 'straggot' is too close to 'faggot' and we can't say that. I guess power gets to everyone's head eventually, and the left-versus-right thing is just an easy excuse to power-trip.

I wouldn't call the website a "walking on eggshels" kind of place, but I get it, you know. You don't see any fair moderation anywhere else and probably have nowhere else to look. Pretty much everywhere one small offense can lead to a ban and perma-bans are handed for petty reasons or no reasons at all. rDrama might seem pretty fair compared to other places, but it's not very fair on its own.

That's a lot of words, I have an alternative. Anyone willing to play janny for free either has something below board they want to get out of it, or they burn out quickly. Maybe the something is just community asspats, or the visibility needed to help grow a wholesome 💯 community in a den of federated schizoid autists, but there's always something.

wtf I just visited the rdrama site, I don't know if it's me just getting old or something but it seems a bit.. overwhelming, like whats with all the colors and shiz, stuff flyin all over my screen and gettin constantly redirected to a trans equality donation page. I have a hard time telling if everyone is hiding behind a layer of irony, or its a mixed crowd.
