Crime Gunman at a Texas elementary school kills 19 students and two adults before being fatally shot, officials say - yeehaw

(CNN)A suspect is in custody after a shooting incident at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, left at least two dead and injured 14 people, including students, authorities said.

The Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District (UCISD) posted about an "active shooter" at Robb Elementary at 12:17 p.m. local time and said law enforcement was on site.

The suspect was taken into custody as of 1:06 p.m. local time, according to the Uvalde Police Department.
Two have died after the shooting at Robb Elementary School, a spokesperson from Uvalde Memorial Hospital told CNN.

The hospital received 13 children at their facility who were being treated for varying injuries, he said. Two children were transported to San Antonio and another is pending transfer, Tom Nordwick said.

Additionally, two patients were dead on arrival, he said. Nordwick was not sure of the ages of the two deceased. A man in his 40s was also being treated there, he said.

Nordwick did not have conditions on any of the victims.

This is a developing story and will be updated.

Another expert is here (this time with problem glasses) to tell you how to take action on gun control

Yes, give the government more power to drag their feet, not do their jobs, and guns out of the hands of people like Carol Bowne, who was stabbed to death awaiting their gun permit in NJ.
Maybe instead of making it difficult for people to exercise their rights, the FBI, ATF, and feds should do their jobs and background checks should be smooth and effective. The Pulse shooter legally bought guns despite, being on the FBI's watch list. This shit is dumb, be more mad that the government is completely ineffectual at protection you, extending the window in which they do fuck all won't help.

Tanks don't hold territory. Tanks dont do midnight raids for contraband. Tank crews need to eat, sleep and shit. Tanks need regular maintenance. Tanks are far from impervious.
I'm sure you'll do much better against the us army infantry, tough guy.

So let me get this straight, professional fighters, convicts, spies, and political scum are higher safety priorities than schoolchildren?

Because school shootings are awesome? They rally the voting base, pad stock prices, move a bunch of guns, ammo and accessories.

All in all, school shootings kick ass.

LOL

I'll leave a chicks with dicks porno mag on top of a bear trap and kill four of them.

So what you're getting at is the us is incompetent degenerates.

The absolute state of the US, no wonder the STRONGEST ARMY IN THE WORLD repeatedly gets routed by goat farmers.

except that's only *lethal* instances of self defense. One can defend themselves without killing the assailant or even firing a shot.
Unironic thank you for pointing this out.
When talking about personal defense from criminals, 80% of the value of guns is as a deterrent. Criminals are like any other predator in nature, they prefer weak vulnerable prey to something that could fight back. Criminals are much less likely to try to attack or assault or rob or rape someone when that person has at least some statistically high chance of putting a few rounds in them too.
Does this stop ALL criminals? No. But that deterrent is a powerful enough factor.

Now that deterrent comes up again once more when the gun is drawn because most people do not want to get shot in the face just to get free things. If someone is intent on killing you they may try to continue charging but most violent encounters where you see this scenario playing out it's because it's a criminal who wants something from the victim.

So, not all "good guy with gun stopped criminal" even get reported because many of them by sheer virtue of both parties being equally dangerous to one another never escalate beyond the criminal scoping someone out or making an initial threat and then backing off once the even odds were clearer.

Having previously been investigated by the FBI isn't disqualifying for firearm ownership. The government has to actually charge you with something before you start losing rights. There are enough prohibited categories, we don't need to add "You were cleared by an FBI investigation but we still don't like you" to the list.

The fucking insane part to me is that the BP tact team was there for a fucking half hour before they decided to say 'fuck this shit' and breach. He 100% was thinking about political ramifications. Nigger, if people are DEAD there are no negotiations. He didn't take hostages, he didn't call the cops he was SHOOTING PEOPLE. This situation is so insane and such a failure of policing it blows my fucking mind. There can't be any gun control debate because this was a failure of local law enforcement.

He was concerned with optics of the situation. What the fuck was he doing for nearly an hour? Masturbating? Getting lunch? Getting blown by his secretary? Do you REALLY need to wait an hour to see if its a barricaded shooter who has made no effort to contact you, no demands and is shooting at the cops? I'm really curious to hear that radio chatter. Who knows, maybe the cops on the ground wanted to storm, but didn't want to lose their jobs or their heads? I don't fucking know.

It seems this fucking police chief was holding his dick for an hour and holding the Feds back with 'jurisdiction' until they finally said 'fuck this' and ended the situation in probably less than 5 minutes.

Even the fucking NY Times is investigating police incompetence. Its going to drown out the gun control noise because holy fucking shit. Every day it just gets worse and worse and worse with the cops. It is the far juicer story about how cops stood around for an hour before the Feds had to clean up their mess by basically ignoring them.

It is mind blowing. Total failure in leadership and on all levels.

I wonder what the long-term ramifications on the right's perception of police will be.

The left will go: "See? Police don't protect shit! They just kill PoCs! Get rid of all police!" so I wonder what the right's solution will be.

Hold on, if you believe that the strongest army in the world got beaten by some goat farmers what makes you think they will be any more competent fighting against insurgents in their own backyard?

Given that they're outsiders I can see them getting tripped up more easily than the local keystone kops since generally the first group on scene is in charge of it. The police weren't just holding their dicks standing around, they were clearing the rest of the school while keeping the shooter pinned in and I can see some logic in the bortac agents being convinced to wait until that was ended before moving in, but likely their patience was worn thin with the constant "we need 5 minutes more to do xyz" and they just charged in.

How to Fix Policing:
  1. Remove any and all frivolous and corrupt use of money in municipal departments, including "diversity and inclusion Czar" positions.
  2. Make sure that only registered citizens are allowed to be police.
  3. Require body cams on all officers and provide excellent public defense for officers acting in the line of duty.
  4. Allocate more money to training and payroll, so quality candidates actually want to become policemen.
  5. Raise application requirements for departments.
  6. Increase public support for law and order policies so police actually feel like giving a shit has a purpose.
  7. Dismantle or de-power police unions to de-politicize the profession.

The Gorge Floyd incident did possible irreparable harm to the thin blue line in America. Basically every good policeman quit thanks to that load of BS, and I doubt they are coming back. All we have now are scabs.

I take it you're a close relative of that redditor that dreamed of taking on a T-84 with a bushmaster and can do spirit shortly before being blown away by a bemused tank crew.
I was a tank commander, and I can assure you that when you're not in the tank with the hatches closed, tank crews are just as susceptible to small-arms fire as anyone else on the battlefield. The Abrams has a crew of four and can still fight effectively with one crew member incapacitated, but not two. The T-84 has a crew of three and like the Abrams, can still fight effectively with one crew member incapacitated, but not two.

The problem with snipers and small arms fire in Iraq was so bad that the tanks were retrofitted with armored steel and glass shields to protect the commander and loader.

All you have to do is use turn a southwest mountain into a bunker. Sands too soft and will get all those cucks vehicles stuck, vegetation that exists is too tough which will pop tires, military vehicles in general just suck and will fall apart naturally even when on paved roads.

To fight the tranny loving cucks themselves all you have to do is pop off a couple of shots at them, leave, and listen to them waste all their ammo reserves.

Rinse and repeat for a couple of decades and you’ll win

I've seen how easy is is to disable one of these things with a single IED. There used to be countless videos in /war/ threads on 4chan. It really seemed like these guys were a giant target sign just waiting to be flanked.

Anybody can, now a days. US Army infantry is pathetic, may as well hire Walmart cops.

The USMC can still do the job, for now, until the vaxx effects kick in.
