Most autistic thing you've purchased lately - c'mon feel the cringe

A Heavy Metal 2000 action figure! Apparently looking at action figures of Julie Strain does weird things to the Ebay algorithm and I'm being suggested porn star/ coomer anime figures. Fuck no I am not buying a used Jenna Jameson action figure!

More goosebumps/r.l. stine books hard to believe the guy will be 80 next October! (2023)

Werewolf of fever swamp first edition.

The campfire collection aka Welcome to camp nightmare, the curse of camp cold lake, and ghost camp all in one book,

and the one that started it all...a near mint first edition copy of welcome to dead house just in time for its big 30th anniversary this july.

Also got the somewhat forgotten book the haunting hour chills in the dead of night. that he wrote while goosebumps was in a hiatus in the early 2000s. At the time stine was trying things like haunting hour, nightmare room and books closer to his 80s works that were darker, meaner, and scarier than the "kid's stuff" goosebumps was criticized for being.

I'm actually looking to see if I can snag a copy of the horrorland game for ds...but my ds is almost as old and crusty as I am..might have to test see if it still works before i do and then might need a refurbished one to play it if it doesnt...i havent used it in a while...a lot of games for it have gone missing....been so long since i...thought about that.

A fucking Lego set. Specifically "Monkie Kid: City of lanterns"

It's something that'd normally be out of my price range but It's one of the more interesting modular non-licensed builds I've seen from lego in a good while. I've not been able to afford most of them, even with gift money from relatives because 1: I normally got other less dumb shit to spend it on and 2: a few years back they bumped up the price of modulars to $200-$300. I don't give a shit that it doesn't have a properly built up back for the small buildings that it's made out of because it's cheaper than those ones at like $150, it looks like a well thought out clusterfuck of a city block and I'm probably going to attempt to add actual lighting to it somehow, which should theoretically be easier as it's not a closed off build like the other modulars are.

I got my own gripes with lego seemingly intentionally self-sabotaging their non-licensed shit that isn't the ninja one or the basic city one the past several years, mainly packing a bunch of clearly high effort smaller sets into one expensive as fuck one or doing limited/reigonal exclusive runs and then going "oh well that didn't sell well so we're canning it" There's apperently an extremely well animated and probably expensive tie-in show to this line of original concept sets but I've never seen shit about it aside from a meme about the guy that voices goku voicing one of the characters. That's apparently because it was china exclusive for a while for some reason, despite being in english with chinese subtitles. They doubly fucked it over by making the first few years of sets lego store exclusive, and they apperently PULLED them off the shelves of the physical lego stores at some point as well.

Hmm, let me look over my Amazon account.

Some purchases over the past two years include:

Orange blossom water so that I could make a Ramos gin fizz so I could make a Huey Long themed dinner. (For myself. No guests.)
Yaupon tea so I could drink the Black Drink like a Cherokee brave preparing for a game of stickball
A million flags
Dowsing rods so I could search for Confederate gold using traditional magical techniques of my ancestors
A corncob pipe to pose with
A straw hat to look like a country gentleman
Two cat trees, so my kitty could be comfortable whether he's in the living room or the bedroom

I have a tallent, I seem to be able to find VERY old tools new in the box, not home user grade but professional grade drand new in the box items -

This is a Brand new in the Box Coffin smoother, made by marples around 1937 - 1939 still new in the box and sold in early 1940 (the original recipt is in the box but thin and fragile so I don't want to handle it).

This was the 2nd smallest they did and you would use it for fine smoothing, and also like a Block Plane you'd use today - Single thick capless iron, it was for extreemly fine work they would normally make 50 - 100 of them as a batch and then sell them to order and didnt make any after 1939 it has a small stamp on the body indicating that this was made by Alfred Bock but it's not very distinct and I've not had much time to examine it properly.

But this has never been used, it has the original factory grind on the iron, the scale is correct for the age, the wood isn't bleached (beech tends to do this in any UV) no hammer marks on it from adjustment - and this is the second one I have of this size brand new in the Box.

I like watches but cannot afford to really go for a nicer fine watch, but I have a soft spot for cheap classics. I gave away my F91 W and decided to wait until I could afford a specific Japan-only edition of the G Shock in Sakura Pink. I needed a watch for Wednesdays:

^ Those guys use clone mechnisims and designs and dont cost the earth, I have a Rolex Submarriner and a Ocean 44 Ceramic and I am pushed to find any build quality differences between them, the only I can say for certain is Steinhearts tend to not last as long with the Lume dials in comparison to Rolex or Omega - My daily driver is a CWC Millitary issue pocket watch but I am using tools all day every day and dont want to shock kill my expensive watches but I ware them when I go out but I'm considering selling my Omega's and Rollex's.

I do a ton of paperwork at my job, I use my fountain pens to make that as enjoyable as possible. Same with nice mechanical pencils like the three Rotring 600s I've destroyed because I shouldn't have been bringing them to work.
I'm not sure the way in which your Rotrings are destroyed, but they do sell replacement parts. I'm eyeing the 0.35 mm one to label my slides.

I just bought another Kaweco Sport pen and this ink, which is absolutely gorgeous and truly, a pleasure to write with. It's a deep blue with very fine gold shimmer. It writes so smoothly and the shimmer is subtle enough to not be distracting.

Having a nice pen and ink makes all my daily note-taking a little less of a slog. I am hesitant to use it for my actual work notebook because it's not waterproof and my notebook gets all shitty anyway which makes it feel like a waste of nice ink, but for everything else, it's a pleasure to use something a little nicer. I'm a believer in buying small luxuries that you can use every day instead of big things that you save for a special occasion.

boutique guitar pick, second time I've bought from them, the material was comfortable and fairly indestructible, so I got a bougier model this time as a treat. absolutely unnecessary purchase 100% rooted in autistic gear worship
I thought these were bougie cat toys and I was all excited to find out where you got them. I love buying nice shit for my cats to ignore.

MARVIS jasmine mint toothpaste. I got the fluoride kind (they have un-).

It's so strange but so tasty.

My mother tried some and says it was like brushing her teeth with soap, though. Jasmine oolong is one of my favorite teas, so maybe it's a context thing. They have travel-size tubes in case you want to gamble.

Marvis Jasmine is my favorite toothpaste. The Royal flavor is good if you like cardamom. Next, I think I'm going to try the Aquatic Mint to keep in my work bag.

I have that brand in the emerald green, really lovely, I love how vibrant it is.

Recently bought a sample pack of concentrated cacao as a coffee substitute. It’s supposed to be like a bitter, chocolately-aromaish, less caffeinated cup of coffee. Idk we’ll see how it goes.
