I can't remember which TV show it was, but some nukes went off and fucked America right in the ass.

A few episodes in the banks were rolling in and demanding their mortgages and the like, trying to take the farms with crooked lending bullshit and had mercs to enforce it.

Then were all surprised.pikachu.face.jpg when people started fucking fighting back.

Now...

They want everyone disarmed and complacent because after their Great Reset Disaster, they don't want anyone fighting back when they come out of their shelters. They'll hoard the guns and ammo and that way when they come out they have guns, ammo, food, money, and gasoline, which means they come out on top automatically.

Not that they'll roll into some hard ass motherfucking town that had survived 5 years of Hell going "We have all this, you must submit" and the town will go "Now we have all that AND some new fat slaves to ass fuck."
Assuming this is the general reality, I do believe its a terminal failure of these elites to assume the normies will behave rationally. They've quite literally ground out every bit of rational behavior out of these people and turned them into twisted facsimiles of humanity. People who would turn their nose up at a head of lettuce but kill one another over a black friday TV sale. When the bread and circuses start to run dry, they won't turn on their neighbors - they don't even know them, and are too antisocial to even form groups and instigate social level conflicts. These people only know their leaders, their corporate media, and their brands. And when things come to a head, they'll attempt to take from what they know, not what they should know. You will see hungry lardasses destroying fast food joints, you will see niggers in their standard brand of violent pillaging, you will see violent chaos against government buildings and organizations, and you will see corporate facilities, staff, and executives drowned in the mob of hate.

What you won't see is niggers pillaging the countryside for food - they're too far gone to think about finding food where it was grown. You won't see the fat laptop class understanding how a water purification plant works or how to seize and occupy it - they'll assault the amazon warehouse.

The elites would be foolhardy to assume that the misshapen mass of humanity they have wrought would collapse in line with every civilization before it. They've made a society of midwits, and they're going to face stupid attacks that ruin their plans, not from malice or hate against the upper class, but ignorance to what would actually allow them to survive. And that stupid flailing is liable to smash their bunkers, destroy their infrastructure, and leave nothing for them to try and reclaim in the ashes.

Any plan built off the stupidity of your enemy is doomed to fail, for either they are not as stupid as you think, or they are too stupid to follow your plan.

The elites are not as stupid as they appear perpetuating this plan. Although most of your assessment is correct, the issue comes down to they've already made their "doomsday bunkers" years ahead of time an have planned for the mass chaos, with so many groups divided it will be hard for the modern anti-social society to form groups to take on the elite or chase them down. The true elites don't care about the lower level elites, they only care about themselves, and are willing to toss the executives, and CEO's, and everyone else under the bus of chaos and let us either die, or barely survive. The truth is if they pull this off, they won't be as at risk as one would assume because they probably have many years worth of food in almost indestructible bunkers the only issue the top elites who are planning to flee need is to escape to the desolate locations these bunkers exist, and to be honest by the time normies and society realizes what has happened they'll probably have escaped, and will return once again decades to centuries from now under a new guise once again to the detriment of whatever comes after this society.

"I'll show you. When the chips are down, these... these civilized people, they'll eat each other. See, I'm not a monster. I'm just ahead of the curve. " -The Joker [Dark Knight]

When or if the elites flee the civilians and society as a whole will end up killing each other off, and sometimes I think they purposely put such quotes in movies/etc. to give us an inkling of their plans, because some times it's a little too on the nose.

That sounds a lot like Jericho.

in almost indestructible bunkers
Nothing is indestructable.

You just take the dumbest motherfucker you know and ask them how they'd keep the bunker foolproof.

Then you go fuck that part up, because it's the part that they never thought anyone would do.

"Nothing is foolproof because nature is always making a better fool."

Besides, who knows how many people there are like me who will just quit caring and figure "This grave has room for you too" and make it what's left of my life's mission to fuck those bunkers in the ass.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of hard motherfuckers lift themselves out of the rubble and forge micro-kingdoms.

That sounds a lot like Jericho.
That was it. I don't think I got too far into it.

True you're not wrong. The problem is if you can even reach those locations or know where they are located. Personally, if I knew where they were I would make my descendants and their descendants wait those fuckers out if possible. Even if their descendants are not responsible for their actions, this is the one time I make exception and say the children must pay for the sins of the fathers should they ever leave the grace of those bunkers.

on the bunker subject I recall some old filk, might have been Leslie Fish, something about the people who survived The Big Event waiting outside the bunkers to "welcome" THEM! back to the outside world.

They aren't Marxist, they're something else entirely. The ones actually running the show are neoliberal parasites who believe in nothing but power for the sake of power. Any similarities to any kind of consistent ideological or moral framework is either totally coincidental or a purposeful act to placate the citizenry. You can look from pig to man and barely tell the difference anymore.
The term for that is "Post-Modernist." Which ironically was co-opted by Marxists and turned into what it became -- Marxism as a religion.

"I know the facts state my Marxist utopia will never happen, but I FEEL like it will, and honestly, don't my feelings count as much as your facts?"

"You proving me wrong is a power struggle and since I have more power (I control the social media networks and have an organized hit squad calling themselves a fact checker) I win even though you are factually right."

"I don't care if the crime statistics are real they make me feel bad which means you aren't allowed to discuss them. To prove this point I'll call you a power word to force you to submit to me."

Not all of these lizard people are using the same strategy. I think I’ve told this story and I can’t find the link, but I watched an interview with a security expert who says he’s been consulting with multiple billionaires about how to survive the Bad Times. And he marvelled that all they wanted to know was how to keep their security people loyal.

So he’d make suggestions. “Treat them well?” “Wait, like people? Lolno”.

“Let their families into the bunker?” <blank look>

And then there’s Kyle Bass, who goes shooting with his security guys, runs shooting competitions with them, includes their families… never a bad thing said by his security people.

I think they will be vulnerable, like all soft bodied kings, to getting their shit taken by the nearest warlord candidate.

Back in the Bad Ol' Days, the US government built CoG bunkers in a lot of places, most of those were stripped and imploded in the 1990's. Some were just left, and later were refurbished under Bush JR.

One thing that was noticed: The old ones designed in the 1950's had little suites for the military personnel and had baked into the system that they might find/bring women and have little families in the 10/20/30 year shelter plan. The ones built in the 1970's had single rooms. The ones refurbished had open bays for 16-32 troops with wall lockers and open showers as well as a separate crappy dining facility. Think the worst basic training system. When told by 'some people' that having your troops, who are all armed, trained to kill, and have been protecting the bunker, living in troops bays (The officers below General were granted 2, 3, or 4 man rooms depending on rank) then they might find themselves having a problem. Not that anyone cared, because "LOL, killbots do what they're told."

From what's been leaked when the rich and famous (who think they're fucking clever) bought up old ATLAS and TITAN sites to convert to their bunkers, they went with the "Security Goons Live In Open Bays" because the idea that treating the Killbots like people never cross their mind.

See, they're rich and important. A Killbot is just a high school dropout who couldn't make it in real life and they know their place.

It's kind of funny.

EDIT: Huh, back in the early 2000's you could find the Mount Weather plans and a few other that were 'historical' when they were decommissioning those sites, now you can't find anything on them. Another funny thing though, you can look online and find multiple maps to underground bunkers, from fallout shelters by the government to corporate shelters and other stuff. I looked for a few places (Site-R AKA Raven's Rock and Red Tombs) but they're missing and that's fairly recent since I researched them in about 2010 and the data was there.

Biden visits memorial to victims of Texas school shooting

President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden offered comfort Sunday to a city gripped by grief and anger as they paid respects at a memorial to 19 students and two teachers slain during a mass shooting at a Texas elementary school.

The visit to Uvalde was Biden’s second trip in as many weeks to console a community in mourning after a staggering loss from a shooting. He traveled to Buffalo, New York, on May 17 to meet with victims’ families and condemn white supremacy after a shooter espousing the racist “replacement theory” killed 10 Black people at a supermarket.

Outside Robb Elementary School, Biden stopped at a memorial of 21 white crosses — one for each of those killed — and the first lady added a bouquet of white flowers to a pile in front of the school sign. They viewed individual altars erected in memory of each student, and the first lady touched the children’s photos as the couple moved along the row.

The shootings in Texas and New York and their aftermath put a fresh spotlight on the nation’s entrenched divisions and its inability to forge consensus on actions to reduce gun violence.

“Evil came to that elementary school classroom in Texas, to that grocery store in New York, to far too many places where innocents have died,” Biden said Saturday in a commencement address at the University of Delaware. “We have to stand stronger. We must stand stronger. We cannot outlaw tragedy, I know, but we can make America safer.”

After visiting the memorial, Biden arrived for Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where a teacher nearby held up a sign that said, “Mr. President, thank you for coming. I’m a teacher.” Later, the president planned to meet privately with family members at a community center and then with first responders at the airport before returning to Washington, the White House said. He was not expected to deliver formal remarks.

Mckinzie Hinojosa, whose cousin Eliahana Torres was killed Tuesday, said she respected Biden’s decision to mourn with the people of Uvalde.

“It’s more than mourning,” she said. “We want change. We want action. It continues to be something that happens over and over and over. A mass shooting happens. It’s on the news. People cry. Then it’s gone. Nobody cares. And then it happens again. And again.”

“If there’s anything if I could tell Joe Biden, as it is, just to respect our community while he’s here, and I’m sure he will,” she added. “But we need change. We need to do something about it.”

The Bidens’ visit comes amid mounting scrutiny of the police response to the shooting. Officials revealed Friday that students and teachers repeatedly begged 911 operators for help even as a police commander told more than a dozen officers to wait in a hallway. Officials said the commander believed that the suspect was barricaded inside an adjoining classroom and that there was no longer an active attack.

The revelation caused more grief and raised new questions about whether more lives were lost because officers did not act faster to stop the gunman, who was ultimately killed by Border Patrol tactical officers.

“It’s easy to point fingers right now,” said Ronnie Garza, a Uvalde County commissioner, on CBS’ “Face the Nation,” before adding, “Our community needs to focus on healing right now"

Authorities have said the shooter legally purchased two guns not long before the school attack: an AR-style rifle on May 17 and a second rifle on May 20. He had just turned 18, permitting him to buy the weapons under federal law.

Biden said Saturday that something had to change in response to the attack.

“I call on all Americans at this hour to join hands and make your voices heard, to work together to make this nation what it can and should be,” Biden said. “I know we can do this. We’ve done it before.”

Hours after the shooting, Biden had delivered an impassioned plea for additional gun control legislation, asking: “When in God’s name are we going to stand up to the gun lobby? Why are we willing to live with this carnage? Why do we keep letting this happen?”

Over the years, Biden has been intimately involved in the gun control movement’s most notable successes, such as the 1994 assault weapons ban, and its most troubling disappointments, including the failure to pass new legislation after the 2012 massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.

As president, Biden has tried to chip away at gun violence through executive orders. He faces few new options now, but executive action might be the best the president can do, given Washington’s sharp divisions on gun control legislation.

In Congress, members of a bipartisan group of senators were in talks over the weekend to see whether they could reach even a modest comprise on gun safety legislation after a decade of mostly failed efforts.

Encouraging state “red flag” laws to keep guns out of the hands of those with mental health issues, as well as addressing school security and mental health resources are on the table, said Sen. Chris Murphy, who is leading the effort.

While there is nowhere near enough support from Republicans in Congress for broader gun safety proposals popular with the public, including an assault weapons ban or universal background checks on gun purchases, Murphy, D-Conn., told ABC’s “This Week” that these other ideas are “not insignificant.”

The group will meet again this week under a 10-day deadline to strike a deal.

“There are more Republicans interested in talking about finding a path forward this time than I have ever seen since Sandy Hook,” said Murphy who represented the Newtown area as a congressman at the time of the Sandy Hook shooting. “And while, in the end, I may end up being heartbroken, I am at the table in a more significant way right now with Republicans and Democrats than ever before.”

My non-conspiratorial take is that the kinds of people who like to explore abandoned sites could easily get themselves killed or seriously hurt in a dilapidated bunker. Best to just remove what references they can because people are too stupid to be sane

See? They just admitted that this shit is going to flop. So why even bother trying?

Yeah, the old abandoned ones are dangerous as shit.

Biggest problem with them is the fact that they fill up with water one the bottom few levels or entirely depending on the bunker depth once the gravity pumps go out.

You open the hatch/upper door, see the stairs, and shine your light down to see if there's water. If there's water at the bottom you can bet the supports for the stairs are fucked and will drop you into the water that's now filled with jagged rusted metal spikes that used to be a staircase.

Another one is opening the door and the rooms beyond are flooded.

They can be dangerous as fuck and are usually stripped of anything worthwhile, although some were pretty cool to go through.

I think this is a mirage

Alleged Republican willingness will mostly disappear once the gun people start yelling at them

It's only a couple Republican Senators named which leads me to believe that's all they have. They would be cooming their keyboards if they were even close to 60 votes they wouldn't keep it quiet

They need 10 Republican Senators I doubt they'll get more than 2 or 3
