This popped up in my youtube. So are these girls just imitating Vei's voice (like Shylily) or do EU girls just speak English as if they had downs like that?
Oh Ywuria. She's a sweet lass as far as I can remember from watching several clips. She was formerly affiliated with a PH Vtuber group called OTAHOO PROJECT and has gone indie since February 6, 2022. Kinda surprising seeing her being clipped by a big clickbait clipper (because of course it works). Also that's a smoooth model right there.

Dang
Not only does she volunteer at a local shelter on her free time, but also pledges to donate most of the member revenue to charity. Most selfless vtuber I've seen yet.
View attachment 3325578
And she has been recently specifically raiding low viewer Niji members at the end of her streams.
Never change silly Millie! Now that I think about it, she is quite thoughtful and considerate of others (when applicable anyways HAHAHA). Which reminds me of that one Meinkraft Seiso Only stream where she says she wants to cut back on lewd humor to accommodate her fellow Livers. She understands how uncomfy it can get especially when it goes overboard and when some people aren't on board with it (like Petra).

Pippa gets an honorable mention in almost every single one of Depressed Nousagi's videos these days.
He is a simp for the pink yabbit after all. A passionate one at best.

I have been seeing an emergence of PH Vtuber groups in the past several months. Quite interesting but I'm too lazy to be bothered about it. And I'm out of the scene most of the time. So far I can count about 5 PH Vtuber Groups at the top of my head. Maybe there are more or maybe it's just them. So I'll take a look into it (if I'm bothered enough I'd probably look into them in full earnest).

First off, we've got DAY/BREAK on Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram (this one seems empty tho).
Current Member Count: 3

DAY/BREAK is a PH Vtuber Group that debuted on April 29, 2022. Upon cursory search, it appears that the group was founded somewhere in November 2021. Their official Twitter and YouTube accounts were created on January 2021 however. DAY/BREAK solely consists of a trio of independent VSinger/Vtubers.

Members:

Lila Maria [Twitter] [YouTube]
Serina Fraize [Twitter] [YouTube]
Raian Valerius [Twitter] [YouTube]
Second, we've got OTAHOO PROJECT on Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook.
Current Member Count: 9 (formerly 11) [Addendum: Their roster list doesn't seem to be up to date.]

OTAHOO PROJECT is another PH Vtuber Group that was founded somewhere in December 2020. OTAHOO PROJECT consists of 9 active members. 2 have been removed from the roster. Hano Hirai was retired on February 2, 2022 due to "unpreventable circumstances". The other one, Ywuria, went indie. The group consists of two generations. Funnily enough, Pan (who was also a collab partner with Lyrica several times) has the highest subscriber count out of all the members of this group.

Members:
Yana Shitachi [Twitter] [YouTube] [Facebook]
Anneru Nekogami [Twitter] [Twitch] [YouTube] [Facebook]
Inoue Kye [Twitter] [YouTube] [Facebook]
Akanari Air [Twitter] [YouTube] [Facebook]
Pan パン [Twitter] [YouTube] [Facebook]
Erian Osamu [Twitter] [YouTube] [Facebook]
Sakura Yumekawa [Twitter] [Twitch (seems to be deleted)] [YouTube] [Facebook]
Sumiko [Twitter] [YouTube] [Facebook (inaccessible)]
Daychu [Twitter] [Twitch] [YouTube]
Hano Hirai (Graduated) [Virtual YouTuber Wiki] [Facebook (inaccessible)]
Ywuria (Departed from Group, Went Indie) [Twitter] [Twitch] [YouTube]
Third, we've got Project Kokonatsu on Twitter and YouTube.
Current Member Count: 14

Project Kokonatsu is a PH Vtuber Group that was also founded somewhere in December 2020. Nothing particularly interesting except Sakurami Ruby who was a frequent collab partner with Lyrica.

Members:
Kamori Kokoa [Twitter] [Twitch] [YouTube]
Kou Misato [Twitter] [Twitch] [YouTube]
coronetto ♡ [Twitter] [Twitch] [YouTube]
Tako Tokai [Twitter] [Twitch] [YouTube]
Kayn Evanoff [Twitter] [Twitch] [YouTube]
Cupreese d'Natsu [Twitter] [Twitch] [YouTube]
Banira Mikii [Twitter] [Twitch] [YouTube]
Hew (no, it's not artist, hews) [Twitter] [Twitch]
aruko [Twitter] (Hm... This one doesn't seem to be a Vtuber yet.)
Koko Natsu [Twitter] [Twitch] [YouTube]
Harunate [Twitter] [Twitch] [YouTube]
Sayukii Miyazaki [Twitter] [Twitch] [YouTube]
Yuusächiiï [Twitter] [Twitch] [YouTube] [Facebook]
Sakurami Ruby [Twitter] [Twitch] [YouTube] [Facebook]
Fourth, we've got KoMETA on Twitter, Youtube, and Facebook. They even have their own official website!
Current Member Count: 3

Interestingly enough, KoMETA is the first PH Vtuber Corporation to exist in our scene. It really shows on their website. KoMETA seems to be founded somewhere around February 2021. The little corpo only consists of three members. They are quite popular among my peers. Even more popular than the aforementioned groups. As far as I can gauge anyways. I might be interested to keep an eye on this...

Members:
Elaine [Twitter] [YouTube] [Facebook]
Miria [Twitter] [YouTube] [Facebook]
Virgil (no, not that guy from the Devil May Cry series) [Twitter] [YouTube] [Facebook]
Lastly, we've got YashinLive on Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. They also have their own official website.
Current Member Count: 5 (formerly 6)

YashinLive is a PH Vtuber Company founded by Dasu around August 2021. YashinLive is a branch originating from Dasu's Stellar Paradigm (Digital Design Services PH). The company consists of 5 active members including the CEO herself. One of the former members has gone indie since February 15, 2022 though.

Members:
(CEO) Dasu [Twitter] [Twitch] [YouTube] [Facebook] [Instagram]
Maddie [Twitter] [Twitch] [YouTube] [Facebook]
Lenrach [Twitter] [Twitch] [YouTube (seems to be empty)]
Rezochi [Twitter] [Twitch] [YouTube]
Karlobster [Twitter] [Twitch] [YouTube]
Inuuchi Tenten (Graduated, Went Indie) [Twitter] [Twitch] [YouTube]
Hm... The market around here seems to be viable enough to incentivize the founding and establishment of Vtuber Groups, professional and non-professional. However, I do not think it is profitable. And I'm pretty sure most of the profits they'd be getting would be coming from foreigners at best. And Vtubers are a niche as far as I'm aware. It is a niche of a niche (anime) after all. We've got a lotta weebs here but I don't think most of them have heard about Vtubers. Overall I suppose it is good news and it might bear potential to grow even further. Hopefully we'll get a boom of talents coming from this God-forsaken hellhole.

After another cursory search, I have found out that there are more or less 80~ active PH Vtubers as of this year. Cool I guess. I suppose there are less than 20 or 10 affiliated with corpos and the rest are indies. Soooo after that slogfest of words I'd like to ask something and bring something new to the table. Do you know of Vtubers from your native country/nationality who speak your language? Aside from major hotspots like Japan and North America. Would you like to see a Vtuber Group/Corporation/Company/Agency founded in your native country/nationality? Would you like to see a Vtuber branch founded in your native language from the already established corpos in the Vtubing sphere (like Hololive, Nijisanji, etc.)? I'd like to hear some insights, if you are interested of course. And if you've got enough autism to spare.
Show yourself Depressed Nousagi, we know you're here.
I don't think he has signed up yet. But he always lurks here and has lurked since 2021. I guess he wasn't able to sign up before Dear Leader Null closed registration. He was interested to sign up because he 'saw some shit take' on this thread. His words. This was back in March. He would've been here already if it weren't for the Byuu situation.

Also here's a little convo he had when he found out one of his videos were posted here.

Lol how must the other niji's feel when some random ass chick debuts out of nowhere and gets more subs in a week than they ever will in their whole careers (i know this applies to the holos too, but the nijis just have that many more tiny members that i feel get overshadowed, be honest, apart from maybe scuttle, nobody can even name all of them)

I think any sensible person has to look at an outlier for what it is. This is insane immediate growth even in the era of Gura, Vox and Kobo, and this level of exposure is ultimately a tide that raises all ships.

But I don't think ability to name all of them really matters. They're not a unit, so people just stick with a handful and have an understanding of those who orbit them. Even I'd struggle to do so off the top of my head because a lot of the older members are kind of inactive.

How did Holos feel when every single one of them got mogged by a shark that says "a"?

The three main major talking points I've seen from the JP crowd Re: Salome are as follows:

1) Many see her as a callback to the Four Heavenly Kings era of V-Tubing. V-Tubers who only provide short content and maintain their kayfabe are an exceedingly rare breed, especially now that Kizuna AI is retired and Kaguya Luna was choked out of her activity by Sony.

2) Because of (1), Salome is an extremely accessible V-Tuber. She has a strict schedule of 11pm-12am every day, and does not stream for more than 90 minutes. Working JP fans have noted that such a schedule makes it easy for them to plan around, and doesn't ask for much of their time. She is essentially operating as a late-night TV show episode.

3) Old Nijisanji fans have commented that she is more reminiscent of the original Nijisanji members like Mito, Noraneko and Mochi than modern members. Not that I think this is a bad thing, but I can see why people feel newer members play it safer as the pressure rises to stay squeaky clean. Salome has pushed the envelope a little and got people talking again. It's not often that someone's debut goes viral because they all play to the same script.

And all these are just technical things. The fact of the matter is that she's just really entertaining to watch, and says funny shit quite effortlessly. I don't really think Nijisanji or Hololive absences etc have played much of a role in this.

The 3 points I listed are just recurring opinions I've seen on twitter from Japanese viewers, and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Scuttle D. Butt.
I wonder if hololive will react. Not saying they'd do a complete copy but maybe not do a Gen 7 as a whole group and rather individual members over a few months?

I think doing individual debuts spaced so far out would go against the more collective identity that Hololive likes to go with. Hell it even goes against what Niji usually likes to go with, as Salome's solo debut was an exception, not the norm. That may change going forwards, but I kinda think that the success of Salome's solo will be looked on as being due in large part to her streaming style and personality, and not something that would work the best in most situations.

I could see Niji be more willing to do solo debuts if they happen to have some person lying around who they recruited but haven't debuted yet for some odd reason. It seems like that was the case for Salome, she said that she was supposed to debut a while ago but didn't for unspecified reasons. IDK if Niji has anyone else like that lying around.

Wait til we get the discord leak about how X group was a failure, lagging behind because they didn't pull in some absurd numbers nobody really predicted. All based on assumptions of what is worth deeming a failure. :smug: I kid of course. Gotta bring up old shit once in a while!

I would be interested in Salome because everything about her DOES seem pretty great and both the character and design amuse me greatly. Really like those types in anime, games, and such. However moonspeak sort of gimps any effort I could make and with how many other creators there are I just can't push myself to. Even with the short and sweet setup she has.

Personally hope none of the Nijis feel down about it. Some of HoloJP got sucker punched by how hard the Shark kicked in the door on the scene and it threw a few of them off. Pretty sure several openly noted it screwed with them mentally on how accomplished they felt finally hitting what seemed like ridiculous milestones after (potentially depending on who) years of work. Just for that blue punk ass to zip by. Some of the NijiEn girls also seem to only just recently hit the stride they want, so it would suck to see any of them falter over it.

Even as mostly a Holofag I'm actually glad to see that someone can still cause this kind of situation. The fact you can have someone like Salome just pop the fuck up on the scene outta nowhere and cause a stir up is great, and fairly interesting to be reading about. Feels different from the way Vox had been growing and the things you could attribute to that.
It's almost like from an overview of vtubing, her doing so well almost doesn't make any sense at all to me lol. But it's cool to see happen.

Addendum: since I'm so damn slow and an extra reply or few has shown up-
Salome as far as it goes seems to be a big oddity. I also don't think that many companies or anything will get into solo starter habits. IRyS was a solo and she's pretty on par with a lot of anyone else success-wise. Arguably also mostly seen as a proto-council member anyway. Doing well, but nothing crazy. You can make arguments over it all on why I guess ("Vsinger" despite still being a streamer, design, model, model motion, etc.) but in the long run I think Cover wants the group dynamic too much to suddenly pop out non-singers solo.

Honestly with how hard that seems to have been on IRyS and having things run properly for her, they should probably reconsider that too. Hope lady seems to really be struggling to get proper support in a few ways and it's a damn shame.

She should really get into modelmaking. The little tori gate she did for the other terrarium is basically the same as modelmaking.

Thats not a good sign...
I mean Vei has always had a decent model and good rigging. The way he worded it made it seem as he doesn't really watch or care about Vei's content.

I prefer this, to be honest

I agree since its less edgy but its whatever to be honest. The new model needs better mouth tracking.

I wonder if Niji is ballsy enough to touch the elephant foot.
Chances are that she has a non-compete clause on her contract that will prevent her from joining another company atleast for another year. The move would be ballsy as fuck but it will probably leave a bad taste in people's mouth and might damage future relations and collabs between Niji and Holo.

IDK if Niji has anyone else like that lying around.
Possibly Wolfgang 5th since the auditions closed ages ago. That's one of the few "lost Livers" that never debut'd. Now that we have a chuni Ojou-sama, her having a faithful Knight (or even being an anti-hero type knight that knows each other) making an appearance is a good play, especially since it's about to hit 2 years of him being MIA.

Since the Sin of Pride Month is upon us. Here is a Vtuber group that has conveniently fit the theme.

Are the silhouettes vtubers that are already streaming? Cause furthest left one looks familiar but not sure.
I think this new group will be one worth keeping our eye on. Majority here will despise it for the obvious subject reason, BUT I think there's good potential for comedic incidents and drama to occur from said group, if it doesn't fizzle out like most other groups do after a short period of time. Won't be many cup of tea here, but has potential to brew into something worthwhile.

NCC's are actually pretty unenforceable in Japan, and RushiNeko applying as a talent would give Cover very little cause to take her to court over it. Japan would almost definitely not deem V-Tuber streaming as valid for NCC.

The more obvious hurdle she would have to jump is that her breach of contract was incredibly public and her meltdown was incredibly potent. There are also existing Nijisanji members who have dealt with her in the past and probably don't like her.

I actually don't think they should, I like the way holo does things, and if you chase trends everyone is going to notice. Hololive has been good at doing its own thing, the girls have still been happy and successful (even the less popular ones) and the community of Hololive has been strong. Besides at the moment Cover is still putting out stuff like Error, and then there's Earth and Alternative on the horizon somewhere. I don't think they really need to try copying what has worked for Niji and Salome. Hololive's best stuff has always just been random things that come out of nowhere, like the current Miko WWE stuff.

She best hope there's no Bobbit worms hidden in there. That's pretty common and not exactly something that's fun to remove, especially since by the time you notice them they've killed at least one fish.

Someone better invent a flamethrower that works underwater, because otherwise that fucking thing's being nuked from orbit.

...or just cut it right off like other Bobbitts have been in the past

Cutting them doesn't work, they just replicate. You have to get the whole thing, and they get fucking huge. Only scarier thing to have in an aquarium is like a Lionfish or Mantis Shrimp. This kinda shit is why I never got super into saltwater tanks, way too much work and you might invite an eldritch horror into your house unknowingly. I really would love to see Ame do some educational fish and tank care streams, could be comfy.
